The L and R keys do not work on my DSi, any more. Is there any easy way to fix this myself or should I go the warranty route (it's still new enough to be covered by warranty)>

No easy way, no. Gotta take it apart, voiding the warranty. If you don't have a sentimental relationship with it, I'd get it replaced.

Be very careful as this could permanently damage your DSi or even brick it, this is what to do
1.Put your mouth over the sides of one of the trigger buttons
    2.Blow on to it
    3.Repeat on other one
Your trigger buttons will now work for a while when they stop just repeat but blowing crompessed air is better and they will last longer with out breaking down again

You could get them fixed though, should be free while under warranty.

Wow.... that works. Guess now that we have stopped blowing on cartridges, Nintendo wanted to give us something else to do...

    THANKS!

Don't "blow" into it, whistle into it. It better prevents spittle from making it into your DS / game / whatever.

Lol. I guess you don't know what "brick" means
