I just bricked my wii using the SicSuicide Channel for Gamma. I now get the message:

"The System Files Are Corrupt. Please Refer To Wii Operations Manual For Help Trouble Shooting"

get this message after i press the A button on the black warning screen.

I have no drive chip installed but have HBC and TP hack installed. Is there any hope for me or am i gonna have
to bite the bullet on this one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I didn't find any difinitive answers in searching and didn't find an
occurence of this message.

Gambia, The
get an GC-Pad, stick it in the last port and press up,down, left, right at the same time, shortly after you turned on the wii.
You may have to tear the pad down. but this works....
somewhere around here is a vid that proofs it.
somehow called savemiifrii or similar...

Actually , i have a gamecube pad and i tried that - i opened the pad and put some black stickytape under where the buttons were to force them all down at the same time when i put it back together again.

I then plugged into port 4 on the wii and booted and it reset the firmware.

Not sure what to do after that as it wasnt bricked , but it did work

what is this gamepad trick supposed to do? Does it cause the wii to do some kind of master reset and flush reprogram everything to defaults?

I've got an old GC controller right here ready to try it. Please leave the link to demonstration of this if anyone knows where it is.

Thanks Shizza

Not 100% on this, but burn an auto boot dvd with wad uninstaller on it. Place the wad that bricked your wii in the wad folder on your sd card. That should bypass the menu and boot wad uninstaller, where you can remove the bad wad.

Someone, who knows please tell me if this is right or not.

you guys are talking about the 8 way direction pad correct?

The " D Pad"

Like on a Snes etc

Or a Dance mat , in port 4

*on a side note, could we not write the code for this (I could following code mii) and somehow get it to a mem card in a form that would be read on boot?
Hook, on boot from mem card?

Danve Mat in port 4. BINGO. Great idea. I have one of those somewhere. Hope this works....

I started to take apart the GC controller and the damn thing has triangular slots in the screws.

I'll report back after tring the dance mat.

No it doesn't, sorry.

It launches the Wii into a maintenance mode where DVD's are read differently or sumin

(Maybe alowing auto boot)

imo, this is used to install and uninstall things to a wii, perhaps using the SD or usb but this is just speculation. Or it passes certain checks along the boot path, to allow changes and or installs ?

Maybe someone that actually knows will answer, but I doubt that.

Ok, i got the wii to enter some sort of recovery mode using the dance mat, but all i get is black screen that says:

"3.3(USA)" in the bottom corner, now i need some boot disk or sumfin.

I read about some disk in another thread a while back, maybe i can find it. it had a link to an ISO to burn.

Okay, Jizmo, here is the deal.
You don't have a chip, so I don't think you can burn anything and have it work.
Heres what I recomend.
Put Wad Manager at the root of your sd card named "boot.dol", with the wad that bricked your wii inside a folder called wad. Put twilight princess in your wii, use the dance mat to boot TP, thenrun Wadmanager using the twilight hack.

Use wadmanager to uninstall the wad that killed your wii.
