Do you have BootMii & a backup or no?
I was dumb at the time so no

but I do have bootmii

Two questions:
  1. Do you have bootmii installed as boot2?
  2. Do you have Priiloader installed?
IDK but I remember having bootmii

Can you please check, its important.
It's been awhile since I delt with a Wii so ill have to look something up.
It's much easier if you have BootMii/preloader.
Also, can you tell me what files you have on the SD card.

That could be the issue too, If you have the hack installed I think you need some files on the SD card.
Can you tell me what exactly the system does with you power it on?

Wiping the SD card isn't going to cause the Wii not to boot.

I'm assuming from the above posts that holding Reset didn't do anything, which means Priiloader isn't installed. If the Wii isn't very old, then bootmii cannot be installed as boot2. You could try putting the proper bootmii files onto your SD card to check if bootmii loads on boot, but it probably won't work. Without bootmii as boot2 and Priiloader, there is no way to fix your brick.

You need to be able to run applications before the system menu loads to fix it. There are two ways to do that: 1) Have BootMii installed as boot2, or 2) have Priiloader installed.

If you turn the Wii on with no SD card inserted and the drive light flashes twice you have BootMii installed as boot2.
If you had Priiloader installed and the NAND isn't corrupted then you should be able to launch it by holding down reset while turning the console on with the power button.

If you have neither of these there's nothing you can do other than desolder the NAND from the motherboard and reprogram it, which I believe requires the crypto keys from a BootMii backup.

Any disc-booting method would require both a mod chip and an old Wii from before they changed the drive chips.
