Gaming Brawl - virtual console games (masterpieces)

I apologize if this has already been asked, cos I had a look and couldn't find anything on it, but has anyone been able to get the 'masterpieces' in brawl working? I'm using a PAL Wii (this may make a difference), and couldn't get them to run under either 50Hz or 60Hz - I'd just get a black screen and nothing would happen (have to do a hard shutdown).

Since I don't have some of these games on VC, it'd be nice to give them a go even if they are limited.

DVD5 or DVD9 dump? They're working for me on the DVD9 dump which I have to use the swap method right now with my Wiikey. The DVD5 one shouldn't work though. Using a NTSC-U so don't know if PAL makes a difference either.

Looks like it's likely a PAL issue then. Anyone else with a PAL console tried it?

tried f-zero demo yesterday on my US launch wii, got no problem

Tried ice climbers earlier today, and it crashed my Wii

I've not tried any of the other Virtual Console games yet, but will try a few more later on tonight. I'm using the DVD9, with Wiikey on a PAL system, and everything else in the game is working flawless (all modes other than VC games)
