Hacking Brawl DVD5

So I tried playing Brawl online with the DVD5 version. Then, I waited but nothing would connect. I can be a spectator, but I can't play.

So I searched on Google and found out that the DVD5 version can't go online.

Can anyone:

-confirm that the DVD9 (burned) version of brawl works online (meaning I'll buy a 8gb USB Stick or a pack of Dual Layer discs)
-tell me the name of a dvd5 Brawl that works online!

DVD5 only works with multiplayer offline.

DVD9 is the full game. So yes it does work onliine.

DVD5 works fine for me. (I used an old version of WiiScrubber to make it 4.37 GB) But using a DVD5 PAL version that makes it so all cutscenes are the same (so SSE works) doesn't find anyone on wifi :/

I have a DVD9 version of Brawl and it definitely works online.

DVD9 works... it should... anyway... don0t get an 8gb usb... i'm pretty sure it won't fit... i think it is more than 8gb... and usb sticks will actually have less than 8gb

Yeah. If you go the USB drive method go for 16 GB. A DL DVD is 8.5 GB but really 7.96 GB of space to burn. The DVD9 version I go is 7.93 GB.

brawl is actually 6.4 or something gb.
WBFS manager will shrink it up to that.
