You'd think that being on GBATemp for 15 years I'd of learned a few things about hacking but with the Vita I'm a bit lost as to what guide to follow or what to do. Basically, this is what I've figured out so far.

The Vita already has a 64GB Micro SD installed and henkaku is already up and running.

If i completely shut down the Vita and restart, then the hack is still there so am I right in assuming then that Henkaku Enso Is already installed?

So. What I want to do now is get everything off this 64gb card and on to a 256gb micro SD card so that I have more storage.

How do I do this? Everything Ive tried so far just results in the vita wanting to format the new card, and then saying its successful but on reboot, is giving the same message as before.

Yes, Enso the only autobooting entrypoint for Henkaku/Taihen

It should be formatted as an ExFAT superfloppy (meaning NO PARTITION TABLE, the SD standard of "MBR with 1 partition" isn't correct -- that's all the famous zzblank.img does: wipe out the MBR - and you should apply that before reinserting and formatting the card in a Windows PC)

Is there a dummys guide to doing this anywhere? Im assuming formatting the card to ExFat via Windows 10 PC wont cut it?

Hi..
You already have Henkaku Eńso installed for sure..
As for the 256GB SD card, you should format it properly with a guide to be able to use it with the Vita..

http://vita.cfw.guide/more/sd2vita/

After you are done with formatting, just copy and paste from the 64GB to 256GB SD card and that's it..

did you format your micro sd card properly ? i mean check this http://vita.cfw.guide/more/sd2vita/
prepare your new micro sd but you must choose allocation unit size 64k, not default. if you choose default allocation size with 200-256 gb sd card, ps vita wont see real usage, it will show micro sd almost full, so use 64k option.
After prepare your sd card just copy everything on your 64 gb card and paste all to your new card.

Edit: and if psvita says to format new card, just go to options and henkaku settings and unlink your memory card...

Trouble is, I know the SD card that already has information on it, is 40gb full. But that card when connected to my PC, shows 40GB used, but its not showing all the folders and files to make up that amount, even if I select to show hidden files and folders

If i load up vitashall on the vita, and go to (I believe) ux0 then it shows 46.69GB used.If I connect USB from Vita to Laptop and press select, it opens it up on my laptop but its not showing half the folders that I can see on the vita (its only showing a handful of the folders with a total size of 4GB

Yes. And it still shows the same. 40 odd GB is used, but when trying to view the contents a load of folders I cannot see (folders like APP, APPMETA etc)

If you don't see app and appmeta then you haven't set it to show hidden files and folders. Once you can view them follow the above advice on formatting the sdcard and then just copy everything off the old card to the new exfat formatted card.

I think this whole process might be easier if Id hacked it myself from scratch.

Because Ive picked one up that is already done I'm not sure what does what.

Is there an easy way to put this back to stock so I can do everything from scratch again?

I havent set what to allow to see hidden files and folders? On the laptop or on the Vita?

Don't go redoing the Vita there's absolutely no need. Power off Vita and put sdcard in a reader of some sort in laptop. Make sure on view hidden folders is checked. If you see the above all you need to do is follow the Wololo link to format the card, wrote zzblank.img and format as exfat. Copy old card to new. Dead simple.

Ive got exactly the same settings as you but I can only see the folders that arent greyed out. I have no idea why

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

In Folder/File Explorer options, uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".

This will force all folders/files in your SD2Vita card to be visible.

Thats done it!

Ok so my next issue is, formatting the new SD card in my laptop, im seeing 238GB free which i believe is correct. But once popped in to the Vita, its only showing as an 8GB card? What have i done wrong?

EDIT:

Ok, so ive got this figured out. I now have the vita fully working, with the 256GB card and all apps and hacks are in tact.

The last remaining thing I want to do, is to delete the previous owners PSN details off the machine so that I can put my own in.

Im not bothered if this causes all the games to vanish, just that everything else remains in tact. Can this be done easily enough? Would a system restore suffice?
