    Yes. Only the firmware is important, though I hear there is a downgrader for even 6.39 at this point.

    MMC compatible MS cards aren't as difficult to come by as people like to say.

    Any of my old Memory Sticks work for Magic Memory sticks. I have a 256 or 512MB one that is a permanent Magic Memory stick. Really easy to find.
