Emulation BOTW 1.6 (Switch) to BOTW (Wii U) 1.5 save?

Having trouble converting my BOTW save to CEMU. My saves don't have a preview image and load me at the beginning of the game after using the latest version of BOTW Save Converter.

EDIT: Nevermind, the issue was with saves backed up with Checkpoint. With JKSV it works fine.

Aren't they supposed to be the same update version and dlc?

Reading your title you have two different versions of the game on either platform.

Try updating your Cemu version to 1.6 if thats what's your Switch is at.

That's the problem, the 1.6 version is exclusive to Switch

Having a look through the converter thread, this post suggests it can be done then. I'd maybe throw them a PM to ask exactly how they done it!

Should definitely work, as how else would someone play on the latest update after playing on an earlier update

Oh, duh. Thank you for getting back and clarifying! I guess I was wondering whether there was a different version of the game for the Wii U vs the Switch, and whether there was a difference in the way the saves work. Thanks again for answering .
