Hey so my brother's new 3ds xl is modded with sysnand on some low fw and emunand on 11.8. When booting up the ds it goes right into homemenuhax homebrew launcher then we select lumacfw from there. After booting into luma we are on 11.8u (newest) with newest luma aswell. The thing we are now trying to achieve is streaming the ds to pc via snickerstream. After installing the latest bootntrselector onto the luma emunand we are unable to boot it fully. It goes as far as saying success! press home to select a game but no buttons do anything and the ds crashes after the success! screen every time. Any ideas?

This sounds a bit like an incompatibility from really old cfw. It sounds like you're on menuhax, so boot without the SD card inserted, disable the theme, and follow 3ds.hacks.guide. Once you're done, you can follow the Move Emunand section to completely switch to sysnand so you don't need an emunand.
