is it possible to create a elf file out of a bootalbe dos disk? but i mean one which includes standard drivers (like dos used to do) and that has wii mote/gc controller/nunchuck/classic support...

it would make it a lot easier to play some old dos games...

or is there any other way to play dos games on the wii?

I'm dying to play Swing on my wii... (damn i love that game [IMG] )

That wouldn't get you anywhere [IMG]

DOS searches for an x86 architecture, which the Wii doesn't have, so it wouldn't run, and BTW, DOS is compiled to run on x86, so you would have to recompile it for PowerPC (the Wii's architecture), and there's no source code of it available [IMG]

The only thing that you could do is to wait for a Wii port of DosBox, which is quite possible to do... We just have to wait for someone to do it [IMG]

It probably won't. All the ports work off the same "engine". It's just the supporting code that interfaces with the sound/display/controls that changes from platform to platform.

You'll have to hope that a new version of DosBox will be out by the time the Wii port is done... [IMG]
