Hacking Blue Gateway 3DS card deleted files from the microSD

I downloaded a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney ROM and put it on the microSD card and started playing. Then I decided to stop playing and saved. Later I tried to continue game but I got a message that my save is corrupted. I restarted the 3DS and launched Blue Gateway card. I got a message that said there is no "_dsmenu.dat" file. Computer showed that most of the files on microSD disappeared. Some lost file-recovery programs found nothing.
Can I restore my files?

I've had this happen two or three times now with the blue card and a samsung sdcard. I don't know whether it's the fault of the blue card, the sdcard, or the compatibility of the two. I haven't really bothered investigating because I'm waiting for a DSTwo to arrive.
I haven't found a way to recover the files, no
