Yup. These trains totally reflect both of the formats.
You are easily the most embarassing fanboy on this forum. You post online all day and you act as if its your job to defend Sony products.
No. I'm on Gamefaqs most of the day, I got this from one of the daily troll topics... And if you didn't notice this is the TESTING AREA. And I don't defend Sony Products, Mostly the Playstation Consoles. And if you didn't know, this is a Joke. BTW lrn2spll nub. Lol jk .
Judging from the image above HD-DVD looks better.
The little engine that fucking could
In Australia Blu-Ray outsells HD-DVD 26:1.
So yeah. HD-DVD was dead before it even left the station. I've only ever seen one store stock HD-DVD movies where as even the local music stores in a country town have a few Blu-Rays laying around.
Could what? Fail? Yeah that's it.
Don't go there girlfriend.
But i lekes ma karmaz
You are pathetic ZeWarrior.
Why the heck do people care about defending various formats, you do realise that BluRays and HD-DVDs output the exact same video format 4/5 of the time, they look as good as each other and so far most HD-DVDs have outrated BluRay due to their additional content.
I own both a PS3 and an Xbox360 with a HD-DVD addon, neither is better than the other.
And Opium did you know JB Hifi stores have now decided to start stocking HD-DVDs and players, I'd say the war is far from over.
Ze, don't admit that to people here.
It's not about the Video Quality. Blu-Ray is winning thus far and it will probably continue. Blu-Ray has more Storage. 1st Gen HD-DVD players can NOT read the triple layer disc so they can't use it. And the 6 Layer blu-ray disc ( 150GB ) seems to have gotten out of the prototype stages. Blu-Ray and HD-DVD both output native 1080p and can use Dolby Digital Surround iirc.. though. Your right it seems far from over but In the future I see blu-ray winning.
Ace:Why should I lie? At least I'm being honest here... Gamefaqs is interesting >.>
BTW here's the link to the 6 layer brd
hate this type of thread its on every forum
its like giving a fanboy a helping hand making threads like this.
i got both, had the 360 hd dvd addon at launch, later bought a ps3 (mainly for blu ray believe it or not) and i dont prefer any format over the other.
they both have their own exlusives, bought transformers the other day for hd dvd and spiderman 3 for blu ray a while back, cant get either of those films on the opposite format so my point is.... better to best of both worlds than to spam fanboy crap on here about which is better.
least i know if a film i want is coming out in HD, i dont have to worry about which format its coming on.
Well said, Cygor.
Please STFU and stop being such a fanboy.
And why can't they all agree on one universal format? I'd make things much easier.
Both HD DVD and Blu Ray are dead. Why would anyone want to upgrade from DVD when with HD all you get is a bit of a clearer picture and the colours are a bit brighter. DVD is here to stay for a long time yet.
well thats like saying why did anyone bother to upgrade from VHS to DVD when all you got was a clearer picture and better sound?
also its not a "bit" of a clearer picture, the difference is phenominal between a standard definition dvd and the same movie in HD.
Have you watched a movie in SD and then watched it in HD on a decent sized quality HDTV?
If not then you wouldn't understand the difference.
It's like asking why you would upgrade from VHS video to a DVD, there is only an improvment in video quality...
EDIT - Beaten to the punch
Hybrid HDblueDVDray wins
HD picture quality is much better than DVD, and there are $100 HD DVD players....oh, and Australia's market is tiny compared to US and UK.
150GB disks? The 4.7GB on DVD has lasted this long, and I don't think there will be a huge resolution jump in the next 3 or 4 years - 1080P will because the standard, and that's what both do. Same video, more expensive.
HD-DVD is as fast as a toy train, Blu-Ray is as fast as a freight train, but DVD is as fast as...
A BULLET TRAIN!!!
