When using a Shield TV to stream youtube there are recommended videos from a certain right wing news station. I would like to block this channel from appearing on my recommended videos section.

After doing a big of googling it seems as though there is blocking to prevent channels from commenting on your channel. And Chrome specific blocking. Is there any sort of way to block a channel so it will no longer be visible to me (regardless of the browsing platform)?

Yes this might seem silly to a lot of users here. But I'm not particularly interested in seeing content from a channel that has Lara Trump as a guest to talk about the supposed dangers of socialism.

You can stop certain channels from showing up in your recommended if you just mark the recommendation as "Not Interested", and then provide a reason (being "Not interested in this channel).

No idea how to do it from the Shield TV, but from a PC web browser this can be done by clicking the 3 Dots next to the recommendation, choosing "Not Interested", and then clicking the "Tell us why" link that will appear over the video thumbnail. There will be an option for "Not interested in this channel", which should then remove the entire channel from your recommendations.

I would assume doing this applies to your entire account, which should then stop the recommendations regardless of platform.
