Hacking Blocking PS4 Updates

I haven't checked yet. I don't want to connect to the net and a system update just start downloading. I did block game updates and I know you can do that but does it also work with system updates?

sign in as "guess" by ps4 policies guess cant update the system.

it should be
Setting->System->Automatic Downloads->System Software Update files, uncheck it

that should STOP auto downloads of system updates (when in rest mode)
and
it should not auto update (when in rest mode)

i have it like that, and when there is an update the system tell you

If you turn off Setting->System->Automatic Downloads->System Software Update files, are you the able to stay on a system version while still updating games? On PS3 you could download game updates without updating the system. There was no need to log onto PSN.

Yes you can update game w/o updating system by doing that. As long as that system version is still acceptable by the PSN.

If you want to block PS4 updates on your router these are the host names i blocked on my to stop my 1.76 PS4 connecting to Sony's servers: PS4 Block Updates / Block Access To the PSN

Later firmwares could well try to connect to additional hosts, it should be a good starting point however.
