I know this is an old post, but since it's at the top of the list on a search for this issue:

To stop this from happening, just turn off the power-saver features in your redNAND's system menu.
I turned off Burn In Reduction and the Power Settings/Standby Functions and no more blinking light!

You only need to disable standby. Burn in protection is a graphical thing only, and you may as well leave that one turned on, since image persistence even on LCD panels is an annoying pain in the ass.
