Hardware Blank GBA SP Screen

Hi,

I'm hoping someone call tell me I'm missing something here.

When I switch on GBA with a working cart, I can hear the game, but screen is completely blank. I can even blinly start a game, I tried to play a quick game of micro machines blind, without much success, but it proved that its just the display lol.

I also have an F2a cart that works fine in another GBA SP, but same result in the "broken one"

The GBA is in great nick, no knocks or bumps prior to stopping working, one second it was fine then the next - blank.

I have cleaned the cart contacts, no change, can't really get to the GBA contacts, but don't think that would help the display anyway?

Ideas, gratefully received. Even if its a reliable repair service in the UK !!

Are you sure it wasn't accidentally dropped? It sounds like the ribbon cable connecting the screen has become dislodged...

no definately not dropped, but I was thinking the same thing. not sure if I fancy trying to take it apart to find it won't go back together again. ty tho
