    Wow he brought a lot of shame to the great state of Illinois but even I think that a little harsh. Though I'm not surprised.

    In my country 15 to 25 years in prison, is what you get for murder... I don't think that much time is fair for corruption or whatever (meh, I didn't really read the whole thing since I'm using the dark theme and it's hard to read)

    White collar crimes do significantly more damage to a much wider range of people than a simple violent crime against one person. The news never talks about them so nobody knows. The punishments are usually so weak that they have no reason NOT to commit the crimes (ie embezzling over $100,000,000, then being fined 15-20,000,000 for it).
