I've been looking for solutions for literal hours and I haven't found any yet, which lead to this threads creation. Everytime I've tried to launch Brawl or Project M, it always lead to a black screen that forces me to restart/turn off the wii. I'm using a Lexar USB.

The solutions I've attempted so far is
-Reinstalling CIOS, namely 249 and 250. (Not entirely sure if I did this correctly, as some posts did not include the revision)
-Updating USB Loader GX (Revision was 1260)
-Reinstalling ISO and trying different iso's

I'm not so stressed about Project M working atm. Just want to get help on getting Brawl to run properly. The Loader IOS is 249 by default.

Here's the Syscheck:

I'm a little fresh on all of this, but I know how to navigate all the menus so it shouldn't be too much. The wii hasn't been touched in a couple years also, but it's in good physical condition so its not that.

Thanks for the help.

EDIT:I'm pretty sure I reformatted the usb to FAT32 with 32kb partioning or whatever the setting was.
EDIT 2:And the games are in WBFS format already, transferred with Wii Backup Manager

Try using a real HDD. Flash drives are crap on Wiis.
Alright, will do. My brother just ordered one that's coming soon so hopefully that works. Just to make sure I don't have this issue when the HDD arrives, the Syscheck checks out right? Is there any other possibilities that could cause this besides the HDD? Thanks for responding c:

No, it looks fine. The only other thing to check is the SHA1 hash for the disc image. You can do it with Wii Backup Manager. If the title turns green in the scan info box it matches, red means it's bad.

Sorry for renewing this thread but I've been having the same problem as well, the only exception is that I've checked to see if the problem lies with all other Wii games in my collection on my 64 GB USB and find them working. the only one that's not is this game.

I checked my CIOS version (249), I made sure that the wbfs files are .wbfs and .wbfs1 respectively and that this game's files were downloaded and converted correctly/fully. is there anything else besides partitioning that I need to enable in the USB Loader GX settings?
