Hardware Black Wii optical drive in a old white 4.3 Wii

Ok, bassically I wanna softmod a old white Wii (about 3 years old) with the 4.3 update but the optical drive is broken.

I was wondering if I could take the optical drive of my black wii only to softmod my white Wii. Will it work?


EDIT : Nvm! I guess I'm just not patient enough, but I've decided to try it and swap the drive. And it work! Smash brother boot on my old drive

. I should be able to finish the job by myself from now on.
