Sorry, I'm not very good at the 3ds English lexicon, I tend to use the words we use in France

yes, I think I have an ultra R4i, but I have to check it because I don't have it, I couldn't know for a few days.
in any case a huge thank you for the time you spent answering me, it was very useful to me
    Thank you again

I have these two r4s in my house, I don't think they're compatible. If they are, please tell me.

I also have another problem, I live in France, and I have no idea where you can buy R4s here.

It's time to get another flashcart. Along with the previously listed options in post #14, you can try your luck at:

That model doesn't have a time bomb, but it's not compatibility with NDS games with anti-piracy measure nor does it have real time clock. It's shit.

If you're going for cheap, shop at aliexpress for the R4iSDHC series, but if you want to treat yourself right because you deserve better, get the R4i Gold 3DS Plus.

so if I understood correctly, the ace3ds no longer can't work to repair my 3ds?

what about the Aliexpress models you're telling me about?

what is the cheapest flashcard I can use to repair my 3ds?

and on the picture I sent you, the second flashcard is a R4iSDHC no? it will not work?

The Ace3DS Plus will work as ntrboot, but why waste €10 for a subpar flashcart? Spend the extra ~€10 for (arguably) the best DS flashcart: R4i Gold 3DS Plus

As was mentioned back in post #14, the cheapest option: R4iSDHC series at aliexpress for €5.

I know denial is something no one wants to hear, but no, those two flashcarts you have will not work.

Excuse me, I just didn't understand the difference between the R4ISDHC you're telling me on aliexpress and the one I have.
I know that the R4i Gold 3DS Plus allows you to launch nds games, but I prefer to use TWLoader (or its new name, I don't know what its name is anymore). I have already spent a lot in the 3ds (battery, L and R buttons, WIFI module, etc.) and I would prefer to repair it at a lower cost. Can you send me a link to one of the NTRBOOT compatible flashcards on aliexpress?
    Thank you. Thank you.

Sorry, I just saw that you already posted the link.

What is the difference between the RTS version, the GOLD version, and the DUAL CORE version?

Can you explain to me what the "Time Bomb" is?

The reason why I and many long time members here try to steer everyone to go with the R4i Gold 3DS Plus is because we want those hacking their 3DS systems for the first time with ntrboot to not only have an as easy & painless experience popping their custom firmware cherry (lol), it's to make sure they're happy to continue using a trouble-free DS flashcart that doesn't have a stupid time bomb to worry about, decent enough GUI to look at, and (more or less) perfect compatibility with every DS game out there.

Too often we see noobies focus only on the $$$ aspect and not the long term ownership.

    ***

I did point out to you multiple times that flashcarts not on that ntrboot list with included images (for visual help) are not compatible.

    ***

Since it seems you're going with the R4iSHDC series (doesn't matter which of the three because they're all identical underneath but relabeled/ different color), you can get away with the time bomb issue by using YS Menu kernel.

a R4ISDHC works with NTRBOOT, the different versions don't change anything, it's just aesthetic, that's it?

However, they have the problem of "time bomb".
Can you explain to me in detail, for a nobbie like me is that the time bomb?

Yup, RTS Lite (grey) / Gold Pro (yellow) / Dual-Core (silver) are literally the same cart. You buy whichever color you like the most.

Most DS flashcarts are shitty because they stop working when you reach their built-in expiration dates (by 3DS system calendar).

Okay, and thanks to the YS MENU KERNEL, we can ignore the time bomb, that's right? but in this case, the R4ISDHC is still used as a flashcard to read nds games?
are there any incovénniants at the YS MENU KERNEL?

The YS Menu kernel doesn't have a pleasant GUI. Some people don't care looking at it because you spend most of your time playing DS games. Others are reminded every time they launch the flashcart that they bought a shitty flashcart. All the more reason to quickly select you game and not scroll through the menu too long.

Some of the more shittier flashcarts will automatically commit suicide brick themselves if you don't use the correct version of YS Menu kernel. Do the R4iSDHC series do something as dumb as that? I wouldn't know.

Okay, thanks, I'll buy the one you sent me as a link (R4ISDHC) on aliexpress, when I receive it, I follow the guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ntrboot
after performing ntrboot I do a CTRTransfer. And I install YS Menu on the R4I?

You don't have to install YS Menu right away. The time bomb for R4iSDHC series carts sold this year doesn't kick in until September 3, 2019.

I'll let you figure this one out on your own. :creep:

Fast forward and then backwards the 3DS internal calendar. You'll see the time bomb kick in firsthand.
