Hacking Black DS lite

I just got a ds lite for christmas but its black when I wanted a white one

. Is there anyway to return it in and get a white one. It makes this wierd load squeeking noise when I pull out the dusk case thing that came with it in the gba slot. My dad probably has the reciet what should I do?

i don't think you can. if it has a stuck/dead pixel or a cracked hinge, then you can exchange it.

Exchanges give you the same colour back. good luck, I just had the same troubles. Some say Walmart will exhange for you however luck was not on my side as they told me to gfm =( Good luck

It had tape stickers to open it but I used a knife to open it so the stickers have just a thin cut so i can tape over it and you wouldn't be able to notice it. Plus my Dad has the reciet idk what store though ill check that out.

For an exchange, they'll want to exchange out the same SKU (the one for the Black DS Lite), but if you've got the receipt, it doesn't matter. "Return" it, with receipt you'll get cash back, and buy a white one. If they wanna bitch and make you do that, then just do it, but it's more hassle on them so usually, they'll do the return in one transaction and no one has to actually touch any cash since it'd be going right back in the register
