Gaming Black bars on Wii games when playing in standard definition

Okay, so I moved my Wii from my HDTV to my SDTV since I wanted to move it to my room. However, I just noticed that a few games like Red Steel 2 and New Super Mario Bros. display black bars on the top and bottom while games like Super Mario Galaxy 2 are fine and dont display black bars. How do I fix it?
