I have a suggestion for the staff regarding people's birthday's. I know we have "X members are celebrating their birthday today" But I rarely see anyone make a post for people to say "happy birthday" (unless your important or staff [IMG] )

So.. Id like to suggest having your Group & tag area changed as follows on your birthday:

(not with that exact cake picture, but you get the idea)

So anywhere they'd post, they'd be easily recognized, and maybe (just maybe) people will include "happy birthday _______" while responding to a thread [IMG]

    Just a suggestion!

That's a pretty cool idea. I dunno how easy it would be to set up though. I'll mention it to Costello [IMG]

That would be cool I guess. Imagine having to change the "Group" every day though. Probably do something so it changes them automatically. Might as well do an automated message to them in their inbox as well. [IMG]

I remember my first birthday on the forums, I didnt get a thread about it like I did last year, but I did get a PM from someone who doesnt visit the forums anymore. [IMG] Good times...

ah yes, of course automatic. Or else I know it would be too much of a hassle!

At least you've gotten one before [IMG]
Yet again, ive only been here for less than a year [IMG]

I sincerely would like to know what drives you to celebrate "anonymous internet dude from some rom site" birthdays.

I mean no disrespect to any of you guys, I love you all, but really.

This is not some rom site, this is one of my main internet communities. And you guys are some of my regular social contacts. That's pretty important I'd say, certainly important enough to wish each other a happy birthday.

I'm not a fan of your idea, with all due respect. I've seen "important" guys not get birthday greets, and not everybody includes their birthday in their profile. If I like you, and I notice it's your birthday, you'll get something from me. I mean, I probably surprised the hell out of Veho by giving him a "birthday post", but I thought he was a really cool, nice, smart guy, and deserved something. I got respect for you, so you'll get something next year if I'm still around. Hell, I'm curious if anyone'll do something for me, but if not, no big...

I'll just give myself a birthday card! [IMG]

This is totally more then just some Rom site, I agree.
I think it's a great idea to put in something in to notice someone's birthday.
I do however think that it shouldn't be spammed across , but only be used at the end of the post when someone actually has something to bring to the table. Or you know, just commenting.

I was gonna say, the homepage doesn't note that it's your birthday today.
But then I realised the time difference.

    Happy B-day!
