Okay, peeps; I'm gonna throw out a lifeline to you guys. On Disqus, I used the acronym GNAT-FAM as a humorous way to describe the seven biggest names in the technological industry. They are:
  • G for Google (or it could be replaced with Alphabet, if you'd prefer)
  • N for Netflix
  • A for Apple (or Amazon)
  • T for Twitter
  • F for Facebook (now Meta)
  • A for Amazon (or Apple)
  • M for Microsoft
So, with that said, I was wondering if you guys could come up with a better acronym for me, using these seven companies only. Suggest away!

FAT MANG ("mang" being slang for man, consider this in reference to "fatcats" and/or "the man" I guess)

Similarly, FAT G-MAN (G-Man, a character from the Half-Life series, described as an "sinister interdimensional bureaucrat," take that "fat" part as the above does I guess, or just think of a fat G-Man and how funny that sounds)

If you use Meta instead of Facebook, you could have MANGA™. The manga part of it doesn't really mean anything I guess

All good suggestions. So far, I like MANGA(tm). Working on that...

I tried to see if there was a word "gammant" in any language, but since I didn't find one, I'll rephrase it as GAMMANT. My own doing! Gamma is scientific, and the "NT" stands for "New (Big) Tech".

What do you guys think? If you don't like that, suggest some more!

The problem with this is some of the companies on your list aren't actually in the current top 7 list of Tech Companies. Another issue being Netflix is not a tech company but rather a Media Production company. Below is the actual current recognized top 7 tech companies in the world.

  • Apple Inc. (AAPL): $2.35 trillion.
  • Microsoft Corp. (MSFT): $2.2 trillion.
  • Alphabet Inc. (GOOG, GOOGL): $1.85 trillion.
  • Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN): $1.7 trillion.
  • Facebook Inc. (FB): $1 trillion.
  • Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. ...
  • Tencent Holdings Ltd. ...
