Hacking BIG QUESTION! About to buy a New 3ds JP!!! Help!

Hello guys, that´s it. What I need to know to buy a New 3ds JP to then do all the CFW stuff. Do I need to pick the right serial number package console or I can do all the thing in the last firmware of the console?

if you are talking about getting a cfw from nothing, then on the latest firmware you either need to use ocarina of time 3ds and powersaves for oothax, find a copy of cubic ninja for ninjhax, or have linux and set up smashhax.
then through the hblauncher you can downgrade to 9.2 where you can get a cfw. there are tons of guides to set all of this up just do a quick google search for how to do it. most guides will include info for the n3ds and o3ds.

Thank you very much, man. So, the only way is to have one of those games and make the hblauncher thing (I have Ocarina of Time, but no the powersave) with all New 3ds firmware versions? What if I buy one in 8.1 or 9.1 or 9.2 fw, would I be able to make the menuhax thing and make it work without those games you mentioned before?

with earlier versions there are all exploits which you dont need to buy a game for with the exception of 10.6 and 10.7

everything before that you can use browserhax and stuff i think but browserhax and menuhax was patched in 10.6

the most recent version is 10.7 so you will need one of those games if you have the most recent patch

Try to get a majoras mask edition if you do t mind buying on eBay or a different website. Those limited editions come with 9.0-9.2 if you buy them new.

Thanks, man. I´m trying to pick a New 3ds smaller one as I don´t like XL so much. I´m searching in eBay, yes, and the prices looks kinda cool but I need to be sure it is the FW I need it. I sent a question to the seller.

Do you know some other site where I can get a New 3ds smaller one?

if its a new one, then it shouldnt be anything after 10.3. In 10.3, browserhax worked. Unless its a new 3ds that is a special edition or one that just recently was announced, it should come on a decently early firmware

So I should go for the regular White common versions and I will be possibly under 10.3 FW? I´m going after a very common White JP New 3ds. Should I buy it?

Any off the shelf system will be 10.5 or less unless it's returned. Trust me on this.
If its greater than 10.3 I'll be shocked TBO.

If it's really new then you can hack it without buying extra stuff. 100%.
I've never bought anything expensive from ebay so I can't tell you if it's trustworthy.
