About a year ago I modded almost the whole soundtrack in Ace Attorney Dual Destinies, so that it has most of the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney OST. Now, I've decided to release it, so you can all try the game with it.

It modifies the Soundtrack as well as occasional scripting to make the music match certain situations better. I actually forgot I made it until I booted up my 3DS again this week, and thought why sit on it?

Installation:
This is a RomFS mod, so all you need is an emulator or Luma3D to run it natively with your Game Card or game installation.
1. (For Luma users) From the Root of the SD/MicroSD card, Paste the contents of the zip into "luma/titles/"
2. (For Citra users on Android) Copy the contents to Citra Emu's RomFS path. It should be "citra-emu/load/mods/"
3. (For Citra users on Windows) Copy the contents to the RomFS path on Citra: "/Users/[USER]/AppData/Roaming/Citra/load/mods/"

RetroArch and SteamDeck users can find similar guides online, as it's a pretty standard affair for 3DS mods.

ENJOY!

Cool mod!
Fwiw the text in the beginning of your post looks off to the right, it'd be ideal if it's displayed like the rest.

This is pretty cool. Do you have any other mods you've worked on?
Mainly just for this game, and I started on SoJ with a similar mod, but can't remember how far I got.
I've been meaning to try and see if I could mod the PC port of Dual Destinies with the same concept, since that's obviously more accessible and popular now, and on NexusMods.

I also have a few halfbaked Rewrite mods for the game. I successfully managed to make Klavier (A prosecutor) appear and have some back and forth dialogue with his theme triggering, during a regular courtroom section, and I've always wanted to write a "What if" version of the third case where he's the prosecutor. But I don't feel comfortable doing english fanfiction on a localization without much knowledge of the Japanese original script.

Why not just use the original controller you ripped apart? Cool project but seems like a waste. I made my own controller/ fight stick for switch using an Arduino, and even uploaded my code here on a forum.

Neither 8bitdo controllers nor Old Spice deodorants are some priceless relics, and if the guy wants to faff around let him.

  • Veho @ Veho:
The point is "cramming a controller into a deodorant stick" and not "making the best possible controller".
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True I guess, to each they own. I know I've made some projects in the past that are cool to me, but others are like wtf.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Generally most of the "let's cram stuff into other stuff" projects are learning experiences, they're not meant to result in an actually useful product. But you learn a lot.

  • Veho @ Veho:
Once you've done a few of those, building something actually useful will come much easier.

I made myself a soundboard handheld w amplified speaker and 3d printed a case with 10 buttons. Loaded it with bird sounds. I sit on my porch alot and use it to talk to the birds, and they respond back to it. I think its cool but wifey thinks I'm crazy.
