but it could be subjective too,
definitely this whole thing with saying "the screen looks to have a yellow tinge" is subjective
i do not doubt there are different versions on the screen but it would be nice to get some actual data on this issue
part numbers, dates ,regions
maybe if we try searching for replacement part upper screens for N3ds we can find some differences?
ok well the "yellow tinge" or "blue tinge" problem does exist, i have seen my fair share of consoles doing nand mods to know for sure not all screens are alike, but ofc this problem exists in virtually all consumer products.....but nintendo seems to have a less stringent level of quality control....it costs to be picky
that being said the colors seem to settle over time, which is part of the manufacturing process, i know one of my n3DS screens was slightly yellow tinted, but after playing for a few hours it seems to be mostly good now, i remember reading some post about it being some glue or something that settles after heating (not sure if that's complete BS, but it kinda makes sense), so the yellowish screen is more common for new consoles, but it generally fixes itself
