Can i use infectus2 to get it?
No, you can't because the NAND is encrypted and thats the reason why the key is not stored in the NAND.

The NAND key is programmed in an otp area on U1 aka HOLLYWOOD.

Hmmm, does that mean people with recent Boot 2 Wiis, install and older Wii's NAND and have the ability to install Bootmii?

Nope. If you saw the readme in the first post you'd know it won't work.

It is possible to get the keys from a NAND dump, so if your wii is bricked and you have bootmii as boot2, just make a dump and you can get your keys from it. as for checking the versions of boot1 and boot2, if your wii is bricked, I dont think there would be any harm in trying a NAND dump, you cant make it much worse

I think the easiest way is to use a hex editor and copy>paste the keys direct from a bootmii NAND dump to the files nand-hmac and nand-key.

The hmac-key is 20 bytes long and you find it on $21000144
The nand-key is 16 bytes long and you find it on $21000158

So guys it really looks like we have a full unbrick method
has anybody ever installed bootmii manualy with the infectus ?
So as bushing says the keys are stored in the NAND.bin bootmii makes
so we now need to put all this info together and open a wii unbricking forum

More thread than forum

think it would be a good idea, I'm going to get an old bricked wii hardwire an infectus on to it
then buy a tsop48 socket there will be my unbricker

Where the NAND flash is you replace it with a socket
so u can instert nands into it ie a programer
so tsop48 sock fits the wiis NAND flash
