I tried using this and the hackmii installer kept failing to download with some sort of timeout error...I tried doing the redownload option about 5 times before I gave up on it. Every single other file downloaded but it seems the hackmii installer just wasn't having it. Any idea why this would happen?

i use this to mod my friend wii 4.2u and it's successful. however when i use wiiflow and just scroll to different game in the wiiflow, the system freeze. then i notice it's cios is 249[38]v20. my wii was modded by your old version which use 249v19 and works great, no freeze. i use the same wiiflow version for my friend wii as the same as mine. can i reinstall 249v19 on his wii? i heard their a 249v20b, but i can't find the download link. will the 249v20b fix the freeze or should just reinstall the v19

But ever since the 4.3 update, they are also installed on non-Korean Wii's. You do not need to do anything, just leave those IOSs in place... of course if u delete them, u will not do any harm to your wii as they are not used is non-Korean Wii's (yet), but u should nto get into the habit of deleting IOSs as that can be dangerous.

So yes, if using wiiflow, feel free to reinstall cIOS249v19[57], which can be grabbed from ModMii's download page 2. However, configurable usb-loader runs perfectly fine with cIOSrev20[56] (ModMii's recommended cIOS249) and it has the best game compatability/performance... so you could always switch to using configurable usb-loader instead of installing cIOS249v19[57] and using wiiflow. If you decide to start using configurable usb-loader, just use ModMii's usb-loader setup guide.

It could be that the bootmii website was down when u were trying to download it. Or maybe your ISP has the bootmii website blocked. See if you can access this webpage (http://bootmii.org/download), if you can, then there is no reason why ModMii shouldn't be able to get the hackmii installer (so just try again). If you still can't use ModMii to get that one file, just download it from the link provided.

Yeah, that's normal. Some files will be generated in those folder when you launch the emulated nand for the first time.

thank you for the fast reply. i never use configurable usb. i will try it and hope the setting are the same as wiiflow especially for example, wiiflow has a site on which game need to chg ios or other for it to work. so it's like a one stop shop. lolz.
no more question: can i use your program to downgrade an already soft modded 4.3u to 4.2u without having the game Indian jones or other game to be able to downgrade? the reason to downgrade was his wii setting freeze every time he click on it, plus personally i like the 4.2u.

Well, with configurable usb-loader running cIOS249v20[56], you can play every single game with it (except ios reloading game, which wiiflow cannot play either). The only exception is COD black ops, which requires to be launched with a cIOS with base 57 (ModMii's recommended 224). So w/e wiiflow site you are referring to is a moot point since with configurable usb-loader running cIOS249v20[56] you can play just about anything without having to fiddle with any settings.

Re your other question. Yes, u can do that using ModMii, and if u already have the HBC on your 4.3Wii (or a forwarder channel), then u will not need lego indiana jones or any other disc with an exploit.

With your expertise option, would you think config usb loader is your 1st choice over any other because your program always has confg usbLoader installed? will it does/works the same way as wiiflow? sorry i think i'm off topic on the forum

Is this what i need to do to downgrade from 4.3u to 4.2u?
1) I Agree
2) select "W"
3) Select "NO" for not a Wii virgin
4) select 4.3U on current firmware
5) Select "NO" on not download active IOSs
6) select "4.2U" on new firmware to downgrade
7) select "None" for channel since i don't need
8) select "NONE" for downloading Hackmii Installer, cIOS/cMIOS, YAVMM, IOS236 installer, priiloader, and brick portection
The reason i select NONE because i want to re run your program again but this time select 4.2u

Will this work from 4.3u to 4.2U w/out brick

Well, I let it run again for about 2 hours. Those folders (shared2, import, so on) didn't fill up with anything, I tried just the SNEEK + DI still couldn't get it to work. I guess I'll just have to fiddle with it some more later on.

@phillyguy, it will work without brick, but instead of saying "none" and having to re-run the program on 4.2u, just tell it that your Wii is a virgin, even though its not (saying it is a virgin is the same as saying yes to all the questions you list in #8, so either method will work fine).

Configurable usb-loader is the most stable and most feature-rich. And the look and feel of it is very similar to wiiflow. I just personally prefer configurable usb-loader, but either loader can get the job done.

@SoundHyp, it works for me... but if it still doesn't work for u, i recommend u use ModMii to build a nand only (not to build sneek) and use the sneek installer to build sneek (http://sneek.googlecode.com/files/SNEEKInstallerv0.1b5-cred.rar). Just copy the output of both programs to your sd card or usb hard drive. If it still doesn't work, then try replacing the setting.txt in your emulated nand from your Wii's nand dump.

Thanks, I'll leave them in place then. The update also replaced my truchaered ios 36 with an unmodded version. As I've now got ios236 is there any reason to re-trucha it?

Alright, I'll try that later tonight. I tried running the SNEEK Installer before, but it can't connect when it tries to donwload IOS80, maybe the site was down. I'll post back with what the end result is.

@ActiV8, just run the hackmii installer, after u get past the disclaimer it will take you to a menu where it will either say it can install bootmii @ boot2 or it cannot.

Thanks for the reply. I feel like a right noob! After looking at the guide again I noticed the scroll bar, moved that to the right and there was the rest of the details regarding boot2.

Thank you for fast response... So.. Should i use the same card that i used now? Without deleting anything? I`ve made files for sd card using modmii(didn`t used on wii yet), i choosed that i have not virgin with 4.2 and after that it asked me about some ios if i want to install. I choosed all to install, hope this is correct...anyway... i will do the files again and i choose as you said that my wii is virgin..

Thank you very much for this program. I have only one question:

everything goes perfect, only neogamma .... I download it with modmii and i put the new files over my old files on sd card. I have channel for neogamma. But now when i load neogamma is writing still R7 and not the new version.. What did it wrong? Should i uninstall and install again? Please advice me.


After few hours......


I have 2 hdd.. 1 is usb external 2.5 500 gb ADATA CH91 and one normal 3.5 with usb to sata adapter. After updating with modmii i tried with second hdd(3.5 inch) and was ok. After few hours i tried the other hdd(ADATA) and it is not working anymore!!! When usb loader gx or usb loader cfg or neogamma start my hdd begin flashing and the loader said that is waiting for my slow usb device. I used the correct usb port the one near the edge..... i tried in the other one too and is the same... On my desktop computer and on my laptop hdd work fine and i can see games in wbfs partition. Could one of the ios that i updated to make my wii to not recognize my hdd anymore??????

I resolved finally. I seems that it is because 249 rev 20. I tried with Usb Loader Cfg with 222 mload and now i see the other hdd. It is any problem if i install again 249 rev 14? With this one i had no problem till now. XFLAK today i will make my donation. Please verify your paypal account.

You can reinstall rev14, but I recommend u try rev17b first (it is supposed to be the same as rev14 except have the dual layer bug fixed). Note that revs 17 and below are only able to launch games from a wbfs partition. So if you are set up for fat32 or ntfs, it will not work using cIOS249rev17 or lower.

i already try configurable usbLoader and now i'm setting global to return-to-channel. Since ModMii already installed USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-IDCL.wad, is IDCL is where i should type in the source box? example: return_to_channel = IDCL, correct? thx
