u can also still set up a usb-loader, using configurable usb loader u can launch discs, copy discs to a hard drive (u can copy backup discs to your HDD using your PC)

ive downloaded neogamma from modmii and put it onto my sd card.
ive put the sd card back into the wii and started it up.
ive started the homebrew channel but its still empty.

how do i get it into the homebrew channel.

i really need it on as ive got a 6yr old and thats how hes always loaded his discs.

ill be setting up a usb later down the line

you're copying it to the sd card wrong.

make sure to copy both of these folders:
copy_to_sd\neogamma --> SD:\neogamma
copy_to_sd\apps\neogamma --> SD:\apps\neogamma

or, if you just tell modmii what drive letter your SD card is (in ModMii's options) it will save all the files to the sd card directly.

I have wii 4.2 softmoded and is fully functional. I used guide from wiihacks. After that i succeded to update some ios for my son microphone to work. Now i see that most of recent games not working for me... Amazing race, Worms battle island, Call of duty black ops... etc. If i use modmii to update ios on my wii will affect any of ios used for mics? And i have allready HBC, neogamma r7 and usb loader gx. This will affect it too?

it will update all IOSs to their most recent versions, so if anything, microphone use improve

neogamma and usb-loader gx are saved to the sd card, as long as u don't delete those, they will not be affected. And your HBC should be updated to the most recent version, 1.08, and installed to use IOS58

just download modmii, run the wizard, tell it your wii is a virgin even if it isn't, follow the guide. When your done, u can get ModMii to help u set up configurable usb-loader (which is way more stable than gx) by using ModMii's usb-loader set up guide.

Thank you for fast response... So.. Should i use the same card that i used now? Without deleting anything? I`ve made files for sd card using modmii(didn`t used on wii yet), i choosed that i have not virgin with 4.2 and after that it asked me about some ios if i want to install. I choosed all to install, hope this is correct...anyway... i will do the files again and i choose as you said that my wii is virgin..

Thank you very much for this program. I have only one question:

everything goes perfect, only neogamma .... I download it with modmii and i put the new files over my old files on sd card. I have channel for neogamma. But now when i load neogamma is writing still R7 and not the new version.. What did it wrong? Should i uninstall and install again? Please advice me.


After few hours......


I have 2 hdd.. 1 is usb external 2.5 500 gb ADATA CH91 and one normal 3.5 with usb to sata adapter. After updating with modmii i tried with second hdd(3.5 inch) and was ok. After few hours i tried the other hdd(ADATA) and it is not working anymore!!! When usb loader gx or usb loader cfg or neogamma start my hdd begin flashing and the loader said that is waiting for my slow usb device. I used the correct usb port the one near the edge..... i tried in the other one too and is the same... On my desktop computer and on my laptop hdd work fine and i can see games in wbfs partition. Could one of the ios that i updated to make my wii to not recognize my hdd anymore??????

i have problems with worms battle island too... it freezes at the loading screen... any ideas? every usb loader has the same problem with it...

To make it work just use hermes cios (38 merged with 37) or wanin ciosx rev20b with base 56

Just use modmii and update all of your Cios. Worms will work, and Call of duty black ops... and many other..

Firstly, Thanks for this great little program.

Now, I need to know about bootmii's instillation. In the ModMii guide it states "silently/automatically installs BootMii as IOS" will there be a prompt for install as boot2 if the console is compatible?

Ok, I've got a crap load of stuff that needs to be DL'd with ModMii. I'm not sure if ANY of the stuff is actually getting downloaded as it says "file failed multiple times, skipping..." all the way down until it finally just freezes. Running the BAT file to unfreeze doesn't do anything.
Kinda at a loss here.

@FOUNTAINEER, unless I get enough donations to afford buying a mac, there are no plans for a MAC OSX ModMii

@ActiV8, just run the hackmii installer, after u get past the disclaimer it will take you to a menu where it will either say it can install bootmii @ boot2 or it cannot.

@blue cheeze, check your internet settings, firewall settings, antivirus settings, make sure ur not behind a proxy, make sure u have free space, try restarting your PC, try performing a windows update, try (re)installing your .NET Framework 3.5. Anytime anyone has had a problem with ModMii, it has been one of those things.

I purchased my Wii on Monday from GameStop. It is a pre-owned console if that makes any difference. It (was) a 3.1u system which I modified to 4.1u using ModMii 4.3.5 with all the correct settings. Everything worked flawlessly. I was able to use homebrew, run the usb loader gx and format my Maxtor One Touch 4 Mini 160GB (it's on the list and like I said, it was working) using the loader. I threw a few ISO's on using Wii Backup Manager and everything was good. Played New Super Mario Adventures, everything was fine (after NTSC tweaking). Turned off the Wii for a few minutes and came back.... The Wii would no longer boot with the USB HDD plugged in. If I waited until I reached the SM to plug it in and then tried to run the HBC, it was freeze at ta black screen, power button reboot needed. Tried it again, waiting until I got the slow device warning from gx and then plugged it in, the drive activity/power light came on and was flickering like "normal", but the Wii was frozen at the same screen and needed to be reset using the power/5sec.

I have been trying all kinds of methods and configurations and for the life of me I can't figure this out. I have syscheck logs that I will post shortly (Wii in the other room) but I do not see anything wrong. I did apply DARKCORP 1.1 Full but that was after it was no longer working, so I could run backups from DVD-R's (you'll notice TB in every ios).

Please help me, this is driving me nuts!!!!

EDIT: I forgot to say that I have tried about 6 different devices on the list with a few different partition set ups and I am having the same exact results no matter what.

EDIT 2: I have also tried every loader I can find, using different cIOS's to load them, again they all end with the same exact results. I'm starting to think it's a hardware issue with the USB port or something.

Somehow, the "use proxy" box was checked in Internet Explorer's LAN settings...even though I never use IE...and THAT'S what was keeping ModMii from downloading!
Got it sorted out and everything worked perfectly!

Is it possible to use Modmii also for creating a Nand for uniiloader? This could be an feature request?

uniiloader, sneek, uneek and triiforce all use the same emulated nand structure, so ModMii can already do that

Been having some problems with ModMii and the SNEEK portion of it.

I've gone through the steps for the UNEEK + DI 4.2U in ModMii. I copy over the SD files to my blank SD card, and I copy the USB files to my USB drive which only has a games folder which was created using the Game Bulk Extractor. Now I start having problems when I try to load SNEEK. I don't know if I'm supposed to go through the Priiloader, that gives me a BootMII IOS ppcboot.elf error. So I instead do it through HBC which just takes me to a black screen. I've let it sit there for a half hour and nothing has changed. I have also followed a guide on compiling my own UNEEK + DI. When I follow this process I end up with the same files, but this time when I sit on the black screen my Wii Light flashes 1 short flash continually.

This might not be a ModMii problem, could very well be user error or something more on SNEEK's end. If that is the case could you point me in a more appropriate direction to take my inquiry to?

EDIT - I forgot to mention. For some odd reason my SD card gets the shared1, shared2, tickets, import folders. I'm pretty certain that I selected UNEEK + DI which is the USB support. I've recompiled it multiple times today so I don't think I selected wrong... I could've though.

Edit 2 - Just redid it, and now I have those folders on my USB instead of my SD. They are all empty though, is that normal?
