Hi! I'm trying to use ModMii to extract games for sneek (using the game bulk extractor). But unfortunately, It said everytime I have no enough free space on my USB device. But I have free space!!And it's the same thing for every paths I tried... (And I use the version 4.3.4 in french or english it's the same).
in the last changelog, the "non-english settings", which settings is it?

Did I miss something? What's wrong? i'm using Modmii regularly and it's the firts time I have a problem...But It's really encouraging for this app very complete!!! thanks
So I fixed this problem for people with French language settings in windows, but before releasing an update...

MODMII NEEDS YOUR HELP!
...I'd like to ask the community to test some other languages so that I don't need to keep putting out updates to fix the same problem.

please copy and past the following code into a new txt document

dir>test.txt

Then rename it to whatever.bat (instead of whatever.txt). Then double click it, it will create a new test.txt file and the last line of text should look something like this

I've highlighted the things to check in red.

The most important thing to check for is the deliminator. In English its a comma (,), in german/greek its a period (.) and in french its some weird "y" looking symbol (ÿ). If the deliminator for the language your testing is NOT a comma, a period or ÿ please let me know asap.

Another thing to check for is if the last character before the numbers is ")" and if the first string after the numbers is "bytes", if this is the case then that is good, if it is anything different, let me know (I suspect this should be the case for all languages, so it should be an easy/quick check)

If you don't understand what I am asking you to check, just post the contents of test.txt along with which language you used to create it.


How to change your windows language settings:
To change your language settings (if you want to test languages other than the one you normally use), go to your control panel--> regional and language settings-->languages tab-->details-->change language (if your running windows 7, u can just go to your start menu and type "language" and a link will appear taking u directly to the right place without needing to open the control panel).

Any testing people do would be greatly appreciated, I would like to have a checklist of languages confirmed to work and once it seems like I got them all working I'll put out a ModMii update with the fix (and probably a new/faster USB-Loader forwarder channel)


Here is a list of languages I've personally tested and confirmed working:
-English
-French
-German
-Greek
-Turkish

edit: I will continue to add languages that other people test to this list, so please refer back to it so that we don't check the same language more than we need to

edit2: remember, I only use English settings, so it wont effect me personally if ModMii's bulk game extractor doesn't work with other languages... so while I am asking for your help, I'm really asking you to help me help you! If no one takes the time to test other languages... then I wont be able to guarantee all other languages will allow you to use ModMii's sneek game bulk extractor. But since most people using ModMii have either english or french language settings... it probably wont affect a lot of people anyways (if anyone).

Hi, I am getting an error when Im trying to install IOS60v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP]).wad. I'm upgrading from system menu 4.0u to 4.1U. I used ISO36 and 60 to install it and I'm getting the error msg "Error(ret = -2011).

@merfolk, u obviously aren't using the ModMii wizard, otherwise u should know better, but u need to install fakesigned wads using a fakesigned IOS, like 236, 250, 249, etc. which is what the modmii guide tells you to do

Since u already have IOS60 installed, all it really means is that u can't play fakesigned channels off of the sd card menu. But having it installed will also protect noobs who still want to install an outdated preloader 0.29 or below, which requires a fakesigned system menu IOS otherwise it will give the "system files corrupted" error. It also ensures that if u ever do an official nintendo update, that patched IOS will still be there, allowing u to rehack your wii without even having to install another fakesigned IOS... but there are many other cIOSs that also serve that purpose

So basically, as long as u don't plan on playing pirated wiiware that has been moved to the sd card menu or installing ancient versions of preloader, then a patched SM IOS is not required (IOS60 in your case). Obviously, u always need a system menu IOS installed, it just doesn't need to be patched.

edit: I just remembered, I think having a patched system menu IOS may come in handy when using the savemiifrii brick fixing method... but assuming u follow modmii's instructions and install bootmii/make a nand backup then u should never need to resort to more extreme brick fixing methods like savemiifrii

@yixiar, 4.1C? There is only 4.1U/E/J/K, no C, and ModMii can handle them all.

EDIT: Restarted it, going fine now. May even start a modding service for my friends

also, plz make sure u tell ppl how easy it is to mod their own wii's using modmii, if they still want u to do it for them, then i personally think thats fine... but I think its wrong to get paid to mod someone's wii if u r making them feel like its extremely difficult and they couldn't possibly do it themselves.

ive got a wii 3.2e with a modchip [wiikey i think ,not totally sure cos i bought it premodded] i want to install modmii so i can use usb loader , is it safe to use , also when it asks is your wii a virgin do i answer no

However each time ModMii begins its downloads, it generates a guide, but downloads freeze and windows notifies me that ModMii has stopped working. I initiate unfreezeme.bat which starts the download again before saying that the file that it was trying to download is missing.
I truly believe that this application will be a god send if only I could get it to run on my PC. I have previously softmodded my wii but would like to update it using this your application.
I use AVG 11 anti virus and have it disabled it to allow ModMii to run and I have also run the programme as an administrator.

try running in compatability mode (windows 98)

try running in compatability mode (windows 98)

I have tried running in 98 compatability with no luck. ModMii does not support that operating software

Im at 3.3U right now and ive been hearing that 4.1 sounds really good right now, the problem is that it has been modified and could you suggest a guide to upgrade from there?
