yeah, just checked, was getting errors, so i created folder manually, then it showed it worked, but after checking the folder is empty, i need to get hold of the files then from from latest ver if anyone wants to zip them up, i got old version backed up, but its version 0.3 or 0.4

Just run ModMii's BootMii Configurator, it will create the bootmii.ini file based on your answers to a few simple questions, it will also download the other files requires to boot bootmii.

Hi! I'm trying to use ModMii to extract games for sneek (using the game bulk extractor). But unfortunately, It said everytime I have no enough free space on my USB device. But I have free space!!And it's the same thing for every paths I tried... (And I use the version 4.3.4 in french or english it's the same).
in the last changelog, the "non-english settings", which settings is it?

Did I miss something? What's wrong? i'm using Modmii regularly and it's the firts time I have a problem...But It's really encouraging for this app very complete!!! thanks

@flowlapache, what language settings is your Windows using (letting me know will allow me to hopefully get this working for w/e language u r using)? Try switching your windows keyboard language settings to english and that should fix it.

@bromhexine, I don't have those games so I can't help u. If they're not working for you, try re-ripping them. If they still don't work, perhaps ask your question in a different thread since I don't think this is not a modmii related issue

edit:it's not so easy..., it seems i have to restart my vista to activate the regional settings I have changed. It's for a tutorial, so I'll maybe wait for others solutions..

sorry figured it was a modmii issue because maybe there is an update needed to an ios bundled into the modmii package i assumed maybe newer games arent working with older ios *shrug*

Hmmmm... I just used this to update to 4.2U and it deleted my homebrew channel. I was 4.1 Soft Mod and updated. At first the 4.2 update did not install but then I reinstalled and it worked. I reboot to see that the homebrew channel is missing eek

use modmii to rehack your wii, tell it that is a virgin and it will update all your softmods, if u just want the HBC then tell modmii's wizard to download the hackmii installer (& answer that your wii isn't a virgin).

FYI, u were on 4.1, modmii would've recommended u stay on 4.1. The reason why u lost your HBC is because you were using an old HAXX version of the HBC, since then its been renamed to JODI then again to something else. Anyways, point is, when you needlessly updated to 4.2 it deleted the older HAXX versions of the HBC (it will do this unless you enable priiloader system menu hacks before loading the system menu).

Also, check out the error reporting procedure from the first post. I had to deduce that your settings were: not-virgin and that u chose not to install/update the HBC... I can only imagine that u probably don't have a nand backup or priiloader installed. So I really recommend you use ModMii and tell it that your wii IS a virgin even if its not, follow the guide and it will update all your softmods and make sure you have the proper brick protection in place.

Hi, finally I can try ModMii with my keyboard set in English. (chen I push on "a" it writes "q" in ModMii).
Unfortunately I have allways the same error about "not enough space". I don't understand what's wrong!

open a cmd window (start-->run-->cmd)
then type "dir" without any quotes
then copy the output of that command and send it to me

Believe it or not, that may help me narrow down the problem (especially if its a language issue).
If I need more info after that, I may send u a beta version of ModMii that will create some extra files for me to narrow down the problem even further.

If this keeps on presenting problems, I may just get rid of the free space check entirely and just rely on the end users to ensure they have enough free space.

I dont know if this is true but, is staying on earlier version such as 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, etc much safe and better compatibiliy? thats what ive been hearing or is 4.1 and etc safe now?

4.1 is safe
4.2 is safe
4.3 is safe but will require a game with an exploit (like super smash bros brawl) to install the homebrew channel (unless v1.07+ was installed before the update, in which case the HBC will not be deleted by the system menu)

It is safe to update a Korean region changed wii to 4.2 or 4.3 if using ModMii to update (although its pointless to update above 4.1).

For Korean region changed Wii's, ModMii will install a patched IOS60v6174 to slot 70 and 80 for 4.2 and 4.3 system menu versions respectively. In fact, IOS60 is always installed to slot 80 (even if the user doesn't want to upgrade to 4.3), so that if any Korean region changed Wii that was modified using ModMii accidentally updates via nintendo, it will not install a legit IOS80 and thus avoid a 003 brick.

u could just rehack your wii as if it were a virgin... this will update all your softmods

or if u specifically know what u need to or want to update, u can tell the ModMii Wizard that your wii is not a virgin, then ModMii will ask u what u want to download... ie. new homebrew channel, cIOSs, priiloader, etc. and just answer yes to what u need to or want to update
