From your syscheck I can see that bootmii ios is not installed. Syscheck doesn't report if u have bootmii installed as boot2 though, if u do then great but I'd still also install it as ios.

Cfg usb loader is the only one that needs to be configured on your PC.

To do a FRESH install of Wiiflow also requires u erase it's save file under data management, the other 2 just require u to clear it from sd or usb and replace it with the latest. Whenever the next gx update is released it should come with a bunch of improvements that may or may not impact your situation

Micro SD's aren't necessarily an issue, but compatibility varies from sd to sd

Error Problem - ARCME

I am using Modmii v7.0.3. I believe initially it was a different version but was invited to update to latest version by the program itself. I am running the program on Windows 11.

I have a NA-region Wii that Imported to the UK many years ago. It had a softmod on it already and I reconnected it to my TV for the first time recently. I successfully used the Modmii program to update my softmod and install a bunch of homebrew applications.

I have decided I wish to change the region of the console to Europe. The reason being that I now have a CRT with RGB Scart input, so I would like to output RGB to the TV, which NTSC Wiis do not support. At the moment, my display is all in red, because this is how S-video looks when it is output through scart.

Before starting the region change process I used USBLoader GX to backup the NAND and copied this to my PC.

I decided to use Modmii's ARCME for the region change process, a copy of the Guide generated is in spoilers below.

I skipped step 1 (Nand backup) as I figured I'd already done this via USBLoader. Also skipped Step 2 as did this yesterday with the initial update. I completed step 3 (Install WADs) successfully.

However, here's my problem: when I launch ARCME I get the following error:

Error! ES_Identify (ret -4352; ) ES not initialized!
Error! ES_GetMunTickets (ret = -4352)

I have searched this thread for the error. I found posts by a user called @Noun but it appears that this issue was not resolved (user disengaged?).

Little help?

The forum wouldn't let me paste the Guide into spoilers, so I have attached it instead, above.

ModMii 4.4.4 Custom Guide

😂

Okay, there's a lot to unpack here. First of all dumping your nand to use as an emunand nand using usbloader gx is not the same as a bootmii nand backup, so don't skip that step.

And then there's that guide u linked... can u post a syscheck? Let's make sure your softmods are up to date before you go and try and region change

https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

Edit: Oh and obviously make sure you're running the latest modmii, that old guide had me rofl

Thanks for reply. Will look at it tomorrow. Think I may have uploaded the wrong guide file (from an earlier step). Thought it was right file path but must have gone astray somewhere.

EDIT: attaching the correct ModMii guide this time.

This guide assumes your Wii has already been softmodded and SD Card (or USB) properly formatted by following the ModMii Wizard or SysCheck Updater Wizard. If this is not the case please do so before going any further with this Region Change guide.
Post a syscheck please, or drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do

Sorry it's late here. But thought I could post the sys check, attached.

I used the sys check file yesterday with Modmii when updating. But happy to do it again.

EDIT: dropped the syscheck onto Modmii (after selecting SU). It says as follows:

WARNING! Incomplete region change detected!

You should first complete ModMii's Region Change Wizard to fully install
your desired region and System Menu, then generate a new SysCheck.csv
before continuing the SysCheck Updater Wizard.

Press any key to return to the Main Menu.

Yes, of course, that's true. :/

Error! ES_GetMunTickets (ret = -4352)
I'm actually not sure what's going on. It should be working. I'll ask around on discord

Edit: there are other options like trying Any Region Changer v1.1b Mod06 Offline (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/AnyRegion_Changer), or reverting back to J, or restoring an ohneschwanzenegger nand back up, but maybe hold off until I can ask some ppl smarter than me

OK, yeah, I'll wait to hear back from you. Thanks for looking into it.

I tried AnyRegion Changer (v1.1) yesterday, so I thought I might as well share the error code I got therein:

Identifying as SU...Error! ES_Identify (ret = -1017)
Initiliazing Filesystem Driver...OK!
Error! ES_OpenTitleContent (ret = -1026)

Playerjmr got back to me saying he's seen this before and the reason has almost always been that something is corrupt (sysconf, system menu, or an IOS).

So based this I suggest u try reinstalling cios249 and system menu from your region change wizard/guide (confirm the wads are valid and didn't get corrupted when copying them). I kind of doubt this will solve things but worth a shot before proceeding with more drastic measures.

If that doesn't work, make a nand backup and then use it with ohneschwanzenegger to build/restore a stock nand for your specific wii following the directions here https://wii.hacks.guide/wii-factory-reset.html. It would mean you need to resoftmod it again afterwards but should hopefully allow u to change regions. Note that if u don't have bootmii installed as boot2 this method does carry some risk. If you don't want to take this risk, u can run a region change wizard to get/install the wads needed to go back to NTSC. But then you're stuck on NTSC, which isn't so bad with region free softmod capabilities but I understand it's less than ideal.

I suspect your windows isn't liking tmdedit.exe for some reason as the error your getting is during the part of the process where it would be used. I've had only 1 user report the issue in the past, and it later inexplicably began working for him.

You have a few options available to you:
1) we could troubleshoot; to so do, find this in modmii.bat
Code:
support\TMDedit.exe -b "%basecios%\%code1%%code2new%.tmd" -xml %xml% -group d2x-v%d2x-beta-rev% %tmdversion% -base %basewad:~3,2% %version% -folder "%basecios%" -basefile %basecios%\%code1%%code2%.tmd -outIOS 249
and change it to:
Code:
echo support\TMDedit.exe -b "%basecios%\%code1%%code2new%.tmd" -xml %xml% -group d2x-v%d2x-beta-rev% %tmdversion% -base %basewad:~3,2% %version% -folder "%basecios%" -basefile %basecios%\%code1%%code2%.tmd -outIOS 249
support\TMDedit.exe -b "%basecios%\%code1%%code2new%.tmd" -xml %xml% -group d2x-v%d2x-beta-rev% %tmdversion% -base %basewad:~3,2% %version% -folder "%basecios%" -basefile %basecios%\%code1%%code2%.tmd -outIOS 249
pause
this will allow us to confirm the appropriate command is getting passed to modmii, it should look something like this:
support\TMDedit.exe -b "cIOS249[56]-d2x-v11-beta1\00000001000000f9.tmd" -xml Support\d2xModules\ciosmaps.xml -group d2x-v11-beta1 21011 -base 56 5661 -folder "cIOS249[56]-d2x-v11-beta1" -basefile cIOS249[56]-d2x-v11-beta1\0000000100000038.tmd -outIOS 249
Operation completed succesfully!
Press any key to continue . . .

If the correct command is getting sent, you may want to check if your AV is interfering somehow, otherwise it's likely something about your windows that doesn't like tmdedit

2) you can confirm tmdedit is the issue by going into modmii's options and changing the d2x option to v8-final; v8-final is almost identical to v11-beta1, but ModMii only uses tmdedit.exe to build d2x cIOSs that are v9 or higher so it should work for you

3) use the d2x cIOS installer as per these directions: https://wii.hacks.guide/cios

4) become a ModMii beta tester or wait for my next update, where tmdedit isn't used at all in cIOS construction for any versions of d2x anymore

Hello, how do I update just the homebrew apps?
you can also use ModMii's FC feature (File Cleanup and App Updater). ModMii will scan your device for supported apps and check for updates to those. Currently it only supports checking for updates to the apps ModMii includes in it's download pages

That's neat. Gonna have to try that.

2006 White Wii (recently updated to 4.3U via Wi-Fi)
I've redone this process multiple times, each time, reformatting both the Wii and SD card, then rerunning Modmii to create new files. I then copy over ALL files as they are from a new folder on my PC to a freshly formatted FAT32 16GB SDHC. The SDHC down the middle in performance and had functional files I removed prior to reformatting. I then power on the Wii, set current date/time, proceed to the Wii menu. I go to the message board, go back to the previous date to find the letterbomb; however, when I click the bomb, it actually opens it as if it's a message and just display an endless script that consist mostly of question mark blocks. The Wii will not change screens or try to load Hackmii. Another odd thing is when I try to back out to the Wii menu, the Wii actually freezes at the message board and requires a manual power down via holding the power switch. I have tried everything to see where I made an error somehow and everything said it was done successfully prior to loading the SDHC into the Wii. The MAC address has been triple checked and I haven't connected the Wii to Internet at all since the update was performed last week.

Any exploit will accomplish the same thing, so instead of trying to investigate this too deeply maybe try wilbrand web or letterbomb from https://wilbrand.donut.eu.org and please.hackmii.com. Alternatively use str2hax which should be an alternate exploit option listed in your guide, just click the button to switch to it

I got a new SD card just to make sure it wasn't that and had the same failed result with the letterbomb. Even tried Wiibrand web The str2hax method finally worked and Homebrew is now successful installed. Thanks for suggesting the alternative method. I didn't notice it at first
