disable your stooopid antivirus and apply the same solution I gave to shag earlier

I can't believe any antivirus would have an issue with wizapp.exe. All wizapp is capable of doing is popping up "gui" windows... I mean, a batch file itself is more dangerous. Goes without saying I would NEVER do anything malicious with modmii and it will always be 100% safe and never even ask for admin rights... but my point is anyone could create a batch file to format drives, edit the registry, etc. (it would need to be run as an administrator to work, but u get the idea). So why an antivirus would all of a sudden have issues with the latest rev of ModMii cuz it has wizapp.exe bundled with it is beyond me... pretty stooopid anti-virus IMHO.

Maybe you should contact some AV vendors and figure out why they not like your program ;p

Only 5 of 42 think it's a virus, and they are all AVs that I've never even heard of

I'm pretty sure they are being flagged as a virus because of nircmd.exe (one of the 5 even labels the result as "nircmd"). It's a known issue and the developer behind nircmd talks to the issue here:

If I alread soft-modded my Wii off of 5.2.1, is there any value running through the install again of 6.0.1? Will it update everything for me? I saw it mentioned in the home page but couldn't find any steps/documentation for that.

no you don't need to resoftmod, v5.2.1 and v6.0.1 will both have you go through the same softmod steps. What changed since then has mainly been the user experience (ie. ModMii Skin)

OK, thanks for the quick response. Do you think it will 'hurt'? Something weird happened this morning, everything was working fine this morning (before any changes were made) then all of a sudden the system hung and on reboot, HBC or USB loader would not see the external USB hard drive. If I ran the apps off the SD card, it was fine and it could see the USB paritions fine but I couldn't see anything on the FAT32 partation. I ran the usual system checks and they were all clean so I was going to reinstal modmii anyways so I guess I'll just go with this version.

resoftmodding your Wii using ModMii will never "hurt" anything

u sure u have your HDD plugged into the correct port (port 0, the port nearest the edge?). Have you made any changes to the HDD, like renamed any folders or anything like that? You still have the "apps" folder with appropriate apps in it right?

It's not uncommon to experience the occasional stack dump or system hang, but what is weird is that your HDD was detected before but not after the crash.

Your hard drive might be dying, be thankful you are getting some warning signs, I strongly recommend you make a backup of your data asap just in case it is really dying and it goes quickly.

have u tried disabling your antivirus? Does ModMii Classic still work for you?

After typing I agree in ModMii Skin and it errors, look for temp\wabat.bat and open it in notepad, what does it say?

Well disabled the AV and MM works both version of it .Classic and Skin,sooo now here is the problem ... can't run with out AV and for MM to run needs the AV disabled ,hummm weird .
Any ideas?

Just wondering why did you recommend cios 202,222,223,224 v5.1R and not 5.1
because uloader 5.1e only works with the latter (USB HDD and wiiware won't work with 5.1R version)
Is there a fix for that?

You can try it joost.
uLoader is the only wiiware/ciso loader that doesn't need a full Nand to work - just need to extract wads and everything works fine.
I might not as good as the Mighty Channels but many wiiware wads only works in uLoader for me.

If you're AV is listed above and reports that it doesn't have an issue with ModMii, try updating your AV.

Does classic work even with your AV enabled?
Have you tried running it as an administator (while AV is enabled?)
Where do you have ModMii saved? Have you tried adding the ModMii directory to your AVs safelist\whitelist?

This is the first time I'm hearing anything about v5.1 being able to do something that v5.1R cannot. Anyways, I'm pretty sure I heard that the latest usbloader gx and probably wiiflow is able to dump\use a partial emulated nand. Personally I would use some form of neek instead, compatibility is damn near perfect.

I can confirn that neither uloader 5.1 nor 5.2 works with Hermes-Rodriges cIOS 5.1R - only work with v4 or 5.1

I can't believe I've been working on ModMii for over 2 years... wow, time flies. Hell, I'm pretty sure I was working on it for 2-3 months before even creating this thread so that makes it even longer!

Actually you could also use:

• postLoader
• USB Loader GX
• Cfg USB Loader+Wad2ISO
• WiiFlow

Thanks Joost, I'm actually using all of the above. I'm also using Neek2o for loading many wiiware wads that won't play in any loader.

Erm...a maybe stupid question...

I have bootmii as boot2 installed. I know it means my boot1 will allow for bootmii installation on it no matter what, but still...is there any risk to updating boot2?

And how do I do that with modmii? (I see BC v6 on the first page, but I'm not sure if that's the one I need).
