Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

I did try 222 and even 223 I think
Is there anything else besides Wii Backup Manager I can use to convert the ISO to WBFS?
Cause there's nothing wrong with the ISO since it works on my other wii with a WBFS partition

I notice that Wiiflow does not play the music when you select a game for games that won't load
I guess something is wrong with the ISOs or something is wrong with Wii Backup Manager trying to convert the ISOs

edit: Wow what the hell... so I got it to work by doing this:
Install the game to my drive that is WBFS formatted, THEN I transfer it from the WBFS drive to the FAT32
And that's the ONLY way it works.. someone please tell me how the hell this makes sense

I keep on trying to set up SNEEK with modmii, but I constantly get the following error right after "Downloading armboot.bin"

WARNING: Some files Required for the SNEEK install are missing.
ÂÂÂÂÂÂAborting SNEEK Installation, check your internet connection
ÂÂÂÂÂÂThen repeat the SNEEK Installation to try again.

Any ideas?

On a side note, I can't use the Sneek Installer either because it gets an error when downloading the ios files

EDIT: Never mind, I think it's working now, I just had to delete the "temp" folder first (shouldn't ModMii delete that, I mean, why else would it be called temp?)

My nieces step father recently update their softmodded Wii to 4.3.
This Wii was 4.0 and had Cisocorp on it so it could play Disc through the Disc Channel. Now all that is gone!
I plan to softmod their Wii again. Using ModMii what options do I need to press. So I can mod the Wii again at 4.3, and allow it to play burnt disc. Using a Usb Loader is not a option for them. They are pretty young.

Just go in to the wizard and say the wii is a virgin 4.3, then follow all the steps. You will need a legit copy of one of the 3 games it asks for (SSBB, Lego Indiana Jones, or Wheelie Breakers)

Dont downgrade your SM and if you have the channels you dont have to download them

sneek bulk extractor always fails for me.
It reports I have no enough free space on my USB device but that's obviously wrong.
Here is the last line generated by the dir command on my italian Windows XP

Hello, I just used ModMii to upgrade from 3.4e to 4.2e. I installed all wads on my console with no errors, now when I go to Wii settings I still see version 3.4e, what's wrong? I thought it would update system menu too, shouldn't I see 4.2e? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you're right. I think it's a little bug.
Just answer yes when modmii asks you: "Is your Wii a virgin?".
This way the wad for system menu 4.2 and ios70 will be downloaded too.

new memory card as the previous one i tried to use gave loads of errors,got a new one & fled through install without a hitch

I think I fixed the no free space bug for italian language now, but to be sure, can u copy and paste the entire output from the dir command on your italian windows xp?

That's embarrassing, I can't reproduce it.

I don't remember the exact input sequence because I was playing with modmii's options to find a solution for his problem analyzing all the generated download lists.
I can only say I've done many many back, forward, main, etc... and then suddenly on that page I could not get back anymore, anyway Main command did the job.

I was just using modmii to set up SNEEK when one of the downloads froze, so I ran unfreezemii.bat but it did nothing, I then found out that the "tskill" command doesn't work on windows 7 64-bit (at least, it doesn't for me, and this is a fresh installation). So you may want to switch to using "taskkill" command instead for unfreezemii.bat

taskkill /im nusd.exe /f

@davebaol, I got the free space check working with italian language settings now, so that will be included in the next update

@person66, I'm using windows 7 64-bit, and I'm pretty sure "tskill" works for me... but either way, "taskkill" definitely works for me, so unfreezemii.bat will be updated to use taskkill in the next release (in v4.4.4 I actually forgot to include unfreezemii.bat in the package, so fresh installations of v4.4.4 will be missing it)

I'm happy that ppl are helping me find a bunch of these small bugs, now that I'm not adding many (if any) new features to ModMii hopefully I can catch ALL the bugs for the next update... I'm just glad that w/e bugs are still present in v4.4.4 are pretty minor.
