Gaming Best place to buy a new PS3 for the cheapest price.

I currently want to buy a PS3 that is $300 or less. It must be a slim and 160GB. I am trying to find a website that sells it without any tax/shipping another thing I am trying to find it in a bundle for $300 since I see gamestop has a killzone/black ops for $300 but they charge tax. Newegg sells it for $300 but it doesn't have any bundles.

Just want to point out you might want to wait when Gamescon is over. There is a strong rumor that suggest Sony are gonna announce a pricecut there. Could be dropping to 249.99$ or 199.99$ if we're lucky.

Why are they dropping the price for? Isn't that going to be bad for Sony? Are they already planning to make the PS4 is it for this reason?

yeah, $199.99 is a bit much. Although i think that $300 is the best you're gonna get a ps3, atm. I don't really see a price cut anytime soon.....

You really should just wait till Gamescom. A pricecut is way overdue and the last one was announced 2 years ago at gamescom too. Also, that pricecut is what retailers are saying and often, they are warned earlier about such things. In other words, they probably already know it will happens, but Sony didn't announce it to the public yet.

Just wait, you won't lose anything, in fact, you will probably end up saving some money.

That's because they only mentionned the new price for europe, but it would be a worldwide one. They said 199 euros for Europe. They just haven't mentionned for the other places yet, but it seems it's also valid for NA, but it's not clear about the price, either 199.99$ or 249.99$ (most likely 249.99$).

The last one in 2009 who was announced for gamescom 2009 was worldwide too.

on amazon if you can find a retailer that doesnt ship directly from amazon then usually you dont have to pay tax (you can tell this by stuff sold directly from amazon will say eligible for super saver shipping)

It's probably random. I know when I bought a used Wii it was a few revisions older than what the latest was.

But still that price tag $200 for the PS3 seems awfully nice. Not sure now about buying that 250GB PS3 referbished for $200 or the Black Ops Bundle PS3 160GB new for $250.
