I wasn't sure where to post this, so I guess this is just a good a place as any. I've been fascinated by video pinball games since Video Pinball back in the Atari 2600 days. Although I didn't care much for the "Pinball Hall Of Fame" series (the Williams Collection and Gottlieb Collection,) I spent countless hours on my DS Phat playing Metroid Pinball as well as Marvel Pinball on both PS3 and 3DS. But perhaps my favorite at the moment is Capcom's Flipnic for the PS2. What's your favorite video pinball game?

Dear God, I can't believe I forgot about this one. I actually just played this and Mario Pinball last night on my PS3 via VBANext.

 Attack From Mars? Do my eyes deceive me? Where have I been? This was easily my favorite arcade pinball game of all time.

Notable Mention: Pinball on Windows XP... you are greatly missed.

The Pinball Hall of Fame series on PS2, Wii and PSP. There are two games, The Gottleib collection and the Williams collection. There was supposed to be a Bally/Midway collection as well according to the owner of the actual Pinball Hall of Fame that the games name was based off of (And that I luckily happen to live close to), but there were numerous licensing issues that got in the way. That's a story for another day.

Either way, both of these games are pretty damn close to the real thing. I recommend them to anyone that's a pinball fanatic.

Kirby's Pinball Land is the pinball game I've enjoyed far more than most of the others.

Although I liked the realness, controls and various angles of these, I was disappointed that they left out Williams' Diner. Some of the characters and their voices are probably considered non-PC by today's standards, but that's what made it great. Haji--"I would please to be liking one chili dog please." Classic. And of course, Pepe--"Eh, man! Lemme get a chili and a root beer, man." Sounded like Cheech.

Has to be Kirby's Pinball Land for me too - I still fire that one up!
Not a pinball fan though (so perhaps my opinion doesn't count!), however mum & dad were massive fans, and I can remember being sat there while they spent hours on Midnight Magic on the 2600! After that it was Pinball Dreams/Fantasies for the SNES, followed by True Pinball for the PS1 (which I think was a mash up of Dreams & Fantasies? Surely from the same dev at least)
Recently I think my mum has had a few goes on Pinball FX2 when she's over at mine babysitting, but it's the older stuff she likes!
(Edit: whoops, forgot to mention - mum & dad also loved Kirby's)

Never played it, buy I've had my eye on it. Might give it a shot later tonight on my Dingoo.
Thanks for all of these; I'm really glad I posted now. :) No worries about not being a pinball buff, bro; it's all good. I spent the better part of the 90's going to arcades with a group of friends and I was always the one that hung out in the pinball corner--honing mah skillz (stalls, flipper transfers, etc.) The evolution of pinball video games from Video Pinball and Midnight Magic to Marvel Pinball on the PS3 is quite remarkable in my eyes. It may not be the biggest genre out there, but it is not without enough of a steady fanbase to keep it alive.

EDIT--Pinball table features that will never be the same on video game console versions:
    1) Hitting the glass. I had this down to a science at a local liquor store on a "Rollercoaster" table (not Rollercoaster Tycoon, btw.) I swore that I would one day break that glass, I never did.
    2) Knocker. That sound when you would win a free credit either by score or number match. A loud solenoid would go off inside the machine and it echoed inside the wooden box.
    3) Free game. tfw you'd win a free credit with your last quarter.

Wow. That actually looks really good and the reviewer does a really good job at describing it as well.

+1 for Kirby's Pinball Land (GB) and Metroid Pinball (DS)

used to spend a lot of time on Visual Pinball (Windows) with (v)PinMame for fan recreations of real games, but not sure of its current status ... VPForums still seem to be active

I second that. Also, try Pokemon Pinball R/S (for the gba) really enjoyable.

I agree with this. It may just be because it's the pinball game I played the most, and I played it as a kid so there's a lot of nostalgia there, but I thoroughly enjoyed that game.

An old pinball game on MS-DOS (not Epic Pinball), I remember there being a table with aeroplanes and doing a special condition on thetable would flash 'loop the loop' on the screen. The game will forever be lost within my memory :(
