MuOS if you want fast an efficient but heavily lacking in a fancy graphical interface (which is by design)
Knulli if you want as close to that level of performance as you can get but still have all the glitz and glamour of the EmulationStation frontend like Batocera/ArkOS/EmuELEC/Recalbox/RetroPie use.

First off, this is all "salt to taste". My opinions aren't gospel and I strongly urge everyone to find what they like...

To directly answer your question:

OnionOS - not compatible with RG35XX family devices. GarlicOS is, but I never liked it on the 35XX as much as I like OnionOS on my miyoo's. It's made by a different person than Onion and I think the name is just a respectful nod to the Onion Team.

Koriki - another fork of Batocera, just like Knulli. Personally I found Knulli to be more stable than Koriki, plus it works on multiple devices in the same family and other unrelated ones. Knulli is making good progress and it worked on by many people, unlike Koriki which I think is a one person project (or at least a smaller team with less time to spend on the project).

Oh thank you so much! Just started looking into this and I watched a bunch of videos comparing Miyoo mini plus and rg35xx plus and that expensive one from Ayaneo and I think I want the rg35xx plus??? lol I mainly want to play pokemon games and pokemon rom hacks on the go.

Your choice should be based on what specific consoles/systems you want to play and if the devices play them "just ok" or "very well".
If you are specifically thinking GB/GBC, a device with a 1:1 screen like the RGB30 would be "best". Alternatively, if you were in it for Sega consoles and/or arcade games, a RG ARC-S or ARC-D may be what you want for the 6 button Sega/arcade layout.

Between a mini+ and the 35XX+, you get similar shape/size/form factor with the 35xx being a bit more powerful. Not likely to matter in most cases unless you'd rather run a fancy graphical frontend like EmulationStation. OnionOS (the only sensible choice for the mini+ IMHO) lacks a fancy frontend but both OSs on their respective devices are essentially just as capable where it counts - the gameplay.

sorry if I ask you this other question. What do you think about GarlicOs for the 35xx+? I personally prefer a smooth gaming experience, so I would go with MuOs but I saw that many people also install GarlicOs

Don't be sorry. Just understand you may feel differently than I do if you try them all yourself.

Personally, I think MuOS is "the best" as long as you're ok with a text game list (you can do small/simple box art though).
I also feel that both GarlicOS and Koriki are not as solid as MuOS and Knulli respectively. I think both are single person projects that are great for what they are, but have a hard time keeping up with the teams behind MuOS and Knulli.

MuOS and Knulli both have dedicated discord servers you can join as well.

Okay more stupid questions if I may....

So when I get my new rg35xx plus, I also got a new micro sd card.... so I pull everything off of the old card to get it all on to my new card. BUT before I do that i should just put knulli on the new card and then add only the new games one by one so the stock os and other stuff is never part of the new card? Like knulli doesn't come with games right? So I need to pull all those off of the original sd card correct? And then third I use scrapper for the box art?

You can't simply copy an entire "bootable" sdcard without making a backup image of it and restoring it to another card, but I wouldn't bother doing that anyway if you plan to run Knulli. Just keep the stock one in a safe place after you get the ROMs you want off of it.

Install Knulli on the new card.
Boot the new card in slot1 at least one time so it sets up the ROM partition and expands it to fill your card.
Check this for info about adding ROMs: https://knulli.org/faq/troubleshooting/

For scraping, you can do it right on the device or do it with skraper.net by setting it up to look at the sdcard while it's in your pc.
