Ok so i no longer have the patience to read some 10 book series. And would like some recommendations for one shot or duology fantasy books.

Some books that i like

Harry potter
The hobbit
Emperor's soul by brandon sanderson

I did like shadow and bone netflix series, sad that they cancel it.


What i like,

Likeable and relatable characters with character development.

Fantasy races, nice world building.

Action, mystery, magic and adventure, romance and humor welcome too.


Writing style not overly complex, english is my 2nd language, so id like the more simpler ones.

Anything ring a bell?

Dont like if it's too edgy.
