Moonshell (lmp is fine too) and really good earphones. That's the best you can do with the ds.
Just don't listen to the music from its internal speakers.

Moonshell has better audio quality than LMP-ng, but both will sound distorted if you increase the volume beyond its default setting, as the software amplification is going to distort the sound to a noticeable degree. If turning the DS's volume slider to max isn't loud enough, the only real option is to get a portable headphone amplifier, which will use hardware amplification for less distortion (though then the hissing noise produced by the DS will be that much easier to hear).

Moonshell doesn't support WMA files. Convert it to mp3 or re-rip it from your CD directly to mp3 format. The fewer conversions you do, the better it will sound.
