I have a relatively old computer. It runs really well for internet, and such, but for games, it sucks because there is no dedicated graphics card. I have an hp compaq d530 cmt, with 240 psu. Obviously I won't be able to get anything top notch because most newer cards require 300 psu. So, what I'm wondering is, what is the best card I can get that will fit my computer, and be able to run.

    for some specs.

Also, another possibility for me is to buy a new psu, but again, I don't know what can fit, and what won't. So, if anyone knows either the best graphics card for 240 psu, or a new psu that will fit and a graphics card that will fit, it would be awesome if they could tell me, or help me.

    Thanks

You have a old pc, with the old generation of graphic card, AGP. The best you can get is probably a Geforce 6800.

    240w? and AGP?

Your choices are limited, AND expensive, a 6200 would run, and run games like Counter Strike Source and World of Warcraft well enough, but not much more.

I'm sorry but not even a 6600GT can run on your PSU. I should know because my friend almost fried his computer running one on his 300W. A 6800GT would give you some fireworks to say the least.

Best is to get an upgrade computer...

Due to capacitor aging, you should consider the PSU lower.
