I'm looking for the best football experience on either the Wii or the GC.
It should have multiplayer support for 2 persons, a manager mode, transfer mode, and that's about it [IMG]

So which version of PES or FIFA would you recommend me ?

I dont know what you should play but avoid Fifa 08. I borrowed that game and god it was awful.

Fifa 05/06 is getting very good scores at GameRankings.com and cube.ign.com .
    Anyone got experience with that?

And how can I play NTSC-U games on my PAL Wii?
    I have a D2Pro

I've read the review of the PS2 version on IGN, and it seems indeed a very good game.
But I still have my doubts though....
It says in the conclusion that you should get it if you have experience with the PES series.
I have never played a PES game, so I don't really know what I should expect...

And how about the names of the players/teams?
    Is that okay ?

I'm very happy with FIFA 09 on the Wii. I really dig it's controls. It's a complete rip off of the controls as seen in PES 08 or 09... but it's nicely simplified.

almost all menu's for we6fe are in english with adonf's patch (v2)
    - the patch can only be used on the unshrunk iso
    - a 1.4gb padded version of the shrunk iso will NOT work!

and....download and use a cube memory card file with all the english player names

PES on Wii is the only way to go, FIFA just pales in comparison.

There was a Winning Eleven on the Cube but I forget which one, was Japanese only I think Sony had exclusive rights for it to be released elsewhere at the time. Anyway it was great.

You probably mean Winning Eleven 6, which apparently has a English patch (as shredman says)
