So I've been lurking around here for a while and the backup loader of choice seems to be from external hardrives and USBs. But being the cheapo I am, I prefer to use disks.

Yes I've tried googling my answers but the results are quite dated. SO Im wondering whats the BEST disk loader as of today? Some things Im looking for is periperal support, I like music games so it would be a blast if my Rock Band /DJ Hero kits worked. Right now, I'm using NeoGamma.

Are there any other good ones?

THANKS FOR READING THIS!

The support for peripheral depends on the used cIOS. Try cIOS56rev20, that should allow to use most of them. There are some music games reported that only detect the mics if IOS57 is used as base IOS, but i think these are all games that only use mics and no other instruments.

All the one under development are good... Depends what your looking for... This thread is simple enough ))

Thats the thing right. I don't know which one to choose from the list. So which one will be able to connect to peripherals easily?

I prefer Configurable USB Loader. It's a good alternative to NeoGamma.

That should do it for wii games. But for gamecube games from disc, NeoGamma is probably the best right now.

Haha the first post was about how I dont have an external hardrive

CFG does load games from disc too. But i think it couldn't load from disc if there wasn't some usb device connected. Hopefully that's changed in the meantime.

Use the latest NeoGamma (R9 Beta 47) with cIOS56rev20.

So I've updated my NeoGamma to the latest one and many of the newer games are working on it fine (althought some take a while to load and the cutscenes sometimes jitter, but thats because of the disks right?)

I'm wondering how to change the cIOS. Is there a guide to it?

Just install newer cIOS over old cIOS. And it will overwrite the old one.

Haha, is there a special app for that? I'm not sure how to on the neogamma menu...

Sorry for sounding like a noob, it's who I am

Also, I'm trying to find where to find cIOS56rev20 and download it... am I doing something wrong?
