Hey guys, I'm all out of blank DVD's and thought I would try to make a better selection for the next ones I buy.
I usually use memorex DVD-R's from a brand I don't know (threw the boxes away) and I heard you could reformat DVD-RW's (whereas a -R's are write once only) so are those also good for burning ?

    other suggestions are welcome, thanks

Verbatim's work great on the Wii. Avoid RW's, they are harder for the drive to read and its doubtful you'll be erasing them anyway.

I would stay away from playing burned games unless you wanna kill your laser. No matter how high the quality of the disc and burn it's still harder for the Wii to read them over pressed game discs. I would suggest going the USB loader route but if your determined to burn discs I hear that Taiyo Yuden(now JVC) and MMC(Mitsubishi) make the best media.

I would say as long as you are using a good brand the reduction in the overall life of the laser is neglagible. Going on 3 years here without problem.
