The best birthday gift I've given away was a Nintendo DSi to my friend. And a psx to another friend.

is this a comparison threat to see who's bought the best gift or what?

anyway, I've given cash to some people and bought a girl who needed it a really nice card for her birthday. It's not expensive I know, but it had a lot of meaning for both of us.

I reckon the best gift I ever gave anyone was the silver angel wing pendant I gave to one of my female friends. She talked for a long time about how she wished she had wings to fly away from all her troubles, so I got her those. Solid sterling silver, really nice craftsmnaship. Lovely silver chain. All high quality stuff. Even invested a little extra for a really pretty box. Then sent it to the other side of the world to get to her. I'm to understand she liked them.

Some wooden model carved into a shape of a "Happy birthday" word which I bought cheaply, along with a handmade birthday card. >:

When I was younger 8 or something it's was one of my friends birthdays
at that age you don't really buy anyone things other than sweets or crisps or other cheap things
so I bought her a pack of crisps however it was during the time when walkers were puting £20 notes into every 50000th or whatever packet. you can guess the rest.

It's not the most expensive thing i've ever bought anyone but it's best thing if you ask me [IMG]

Best gift? I gave to my Mom my class card full of 95-98 grades before my graduation in high school. She's teary-eyed at that time knowing that all the effort she exerted just to raise me never put to waste. [IMG]

You mean you got something as a gift then gave it away? That seems more than a little ungrateful.

I'm more ungrateful then him. Sometimes I get gifts then return them to Fail-mart and buy something I like.

Mine would have to be a hand drawn book to a great friend. It was only about 15 pages long but I recorded me opening the pages and put some music over it. Simple, inexpensive but very effective.

We're all very proud, you can stop bragging now.

My most appreciated gift was this cheap necklace I got my girlfriend for our first holiday season together.

    EDIT: Oh, oops. Birthday. Whatever.
