Interesting article. Let's not devolve this into a 4chan-esque style thread, ok? It's pretty dang big news. I expect the usual GBATemp pun play thing, that's in every article, but let's avoid harsh religious debates.

EDIT: Or, we could just do tons of puns.... still better than religious debates.

He's also the first pope to resign voluntarily since 1215.

Unfortunately I can't call myself the holy authority on pope puns.

Yup, that was forseeable. Still, I'd give that one a C+, maybe a B-.

Well, time to wait for people to get crazy at a sight of a new pope who's just exactly the same as others.

If you try to get into gaming, well, tough luck, your holy magnificence - I'm already The Supreme Pwntiff. Made it my title and everything.

There's always the world of online shopping, though - you could make millions in the Paypal-cy!

I'm just glad his views weren't Bene-dictated by popular opinion.

I believe the real reason he resigned was to take his rightful place as the Empire in the new Star Wars movies.

    A winner is you!

On topic: At least he made history by being the first to do something.

Would be funnier if you were known on the forum for your religious views.

    Personally, I'm glad he resigns.

I hope that the next pope isn't as hateful as he is.

    Um, what position?

Also I think he was quite a fan of the racing game Pope Position.

Ah, yes, this one was very vocal against gays, no?

Still, I'm surprised at his apparent lack of conviction. At least some "thugs for life" really did stay thugs for life.

    Smite, incoming!

    Extremely.
Gay community of Holland had convinced flower suppliers not to send a single flower to him on his b-day (I think it was b-day?)
I don't recall it exactly anymore cause I heard it on the news tho.

Well, that pretty much says A LOT about how much he was against homosexuality.
