Haven't seen a whole lot of hype for this game, Bejeweled Twist is the third game in the series and it has earned itself a spot on DS with a fantastic port from the PC version.

Bejeweled has always been my favourite puzzle game by popcap
I know the game released in US retailers on the 18th January and people have got the retailed version and claimed it is a fantastic portable version of bejeweled.
Who else is looking forward to this game. I dunno about you, but i will seriously get addicted to this fast.

Im so waiting on the dump of this since this is only in USA at the minute, but when it dumps i will probably never put this game down, bejeweled is so addicting

    Retailed Version

    Classic Mode
    Zen Mode
    Challenge Mode
    Blitz Mode

    Multiplayer
    2 Player Wireless

Something just makes me think when this gets dumped people are gonna get hooked easily.... Bookworm is a great game too, just shows how much Popcap cares for its games, Bejeweled looks so good on DS

based on my personal experience, this title appears to be either protected or use the same [new] save type that bookworm DS does. I think that we'll need to wait for a new firmware update from the major players in order to enjoy it.

This game has no extra DSi Features, yet it has the errcode=-4 problem..... Does this mean Nintendo's becoming more securitized?

I already bought this for my iTouch.
Inunah, I would probably assume that.
It's rather curious to see Nintendo tightening security near the end of the console's lifespan. You would think they would get more lax.

Which means they're probably going to be releasing something so awesome it can't exist without Chuck Norris's, God's, and Satan's approval.

Seriously, where did you EVER get the idea this was Nintendo's piracy protection? This is PopCap's doing. Nintendo doesn't just fork out their anti-piracy measures, especially not for free (considering they're quite effective, as evidenced by Bowser's Inside Story, Spirit Tracks, etc). Unless it's a first party Nintendo game that's sourced internally, they won't do the piracy protection. PopCap was just smart enough to make a new, very effective way of anti-piracy. If you think this is the "beginning of the end" for piracy on the DS, then you're wrong. Odds are this will be PopCap's last DS game (unless they make Bookworm Adventures, which I still have no clue if it's real or rumors) and they won't be handing out the new save type to every developer, publisher, and their grandmothers.

Oh god, Guild's gotten all aggressive on me again. [IMG]
I didn't think BIS was developed by Nintendo, they only published it. Unless that's what you mean by sourced.
I don't think it's the beginning of the end for piracy on the DS. I think it's just the beginning of the end for the DS. [IMG] I for one am tired of the hardware and want to see some graphical upgrades, as well as some sort of camera that doesn't suck absolutely, some removable memory, and some sort of firmware with media integration.

AlphaDream, the devs of BIS, is a third party affiliate of Nintendo. They're in the same boat as Game Freak (Pokemon), Camelot (Golden Sun, Mario sports games), and HAL Laboratory (SSB).

Anyway, the DS is kinda reaching the end of its lifespan. There's already lots of rumors going around about the next DS, and pretty much all the big Nintendo titles will be out by this year. By 2011 there will be practically nothing in the way of big DS titles. If they do get an anti-piracy measure that's fool-proof (which it probably isn't since firmware developers and flashcart companies seem to always find a work around), it'll already be pointless.

Yeah exactly, that's what I was saying. It seems pointless to begin working on "effective" anti-piracy this late in the lifespan of the DS.

    Yeah, it does.

Why work on anti-piracy at all, anyway? All the game developers know that the ap will be broken anyway, so why bother? [IMG]

Well yeah Inunah. It's all essentially the ending of the Dark Knight. (Escalation.)
And developers are ALWAYS one step behind pirates, because pirates have 1. way more resources and 2. way more time. Past the initial AP, devs are always playing catch-up.
