This was a very unusual licensed title. Rather than go for the actiony Ghostbusters title, it did a more sandboxy (within the limitations) as well as light resource management elements.
To be fair this hasn't aged well, even for a retro gamer like me this is a game that is purely of it's time but I appreciate what David Crane tried to do back then, he knew it would sell based on the license but still did something different...if only other devs with larger teams would do the same nowadays.
For me the definitive Ghostbusters game has to be from HAL Labs (those who do the great Kirby titles). Not only is this a very cool GB game but it is also based on a "meh" movie license. I enjoyed this game a lot. I especially love the character design and the music is fucking rad.
