No need to go in to a dump vs ripping. It's pretty much the same thing. Ripping data or dumping data, it's the same. You can dump data from a disk, You can also rip data from a cartridge. It's just a definition of words commonly used on the subject.

Methods for ripping/dumping/whatever have been openly available for some time now. Your post just isn't news to anyone who paid attention.
