"Would Bayonetta 2 not exist without Nintendo? The answer is yes," says Atsushi Inaba, executive director at Platinum Games.

"We are not viewing this as a change of platform," "We were looking for a partner to create Bayonetta 2 and Nintendo was a strong, cooperative partner that was willing to create and grow Bayonetta 2 together [with us]. As a result the platform became the Wii U."

Inaba says platform change won't affect core gameplay. "We create the basic framework of our games on the PC, so even though the hardware changes it doesn't influence the creation of our games. We've already developed our own engine to work with multiple platforms."

"Because of the Wii U GamePad, we are putting extra thought into how to use these differentiating features," "There's a difference in the game design side, but we are enjoying the challenges of creating games for new hardware."

*sighs* Not sure if I should comment or just report this - if you're trying to instigate some flame wars, you're doing it poorly. Bayonetta 2 wouldn't exist without Nintendo's financial help - it's a known fact. Nobody questions that - Platinum cancelled the title and Nintendo revived it, it's plain and simple. It's not something to gloat about though, it's just a game. Since it was announced as a WiiU exclusive, every single Nintendo fan became a Bayonetta fan all of a sudden and feels obligated to inform the world about the upcoming sequel, and most importantly, that it's exclusive.

It's not "news" when everybody knows about it - you're reporting someone's tweet for crying out loud.

Two different bits of info. One is added confirmation by Platinum that it wouldn't exist without Nintendo's help and the second is a tweet confirming that Nintendo staffers are working on the game.

    So chill out.

I'm very "chilled out" - I just see what you're doing here and I'm not sure if I appreciate it.

Lines like these are completely unnecessary. If you want to report news, do it the right way, not the Valwin wrong way. I think you're better than this.

That's the part where I add my opinion on the news (this one, joking over the silly rage over Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U). It's the same with all news posts. Relax.

No, we don't. How about you read the whole post?

That's the part where you're being a d*ck and laying flamebait for no apparent reason. The WiiU has a myriad of games coming out for it, I don't understand the fascination with Bayonetta 2, especially considering the fact that Bayonetta did not star on other Nintendo consoles, so the attachment to this franchise equals zero as far as Nintendo's fanbase is concerned.

And to be very clear on this - I don't have a problem with the news itself. I have a problem with what you add to the news, which just appears to be unnecessary flamebait.

That part is me JOKING AROUND about how other Nintendo-haters reacted to the news. God, stop taking it so seriously.

It isn't any worse than what I add to all my news posts.

I know, right? Perhaps that's the problem? I'm telling you how you come across. Humour aside, not everybody knows you're joking.

In any case, this debate is off-topic, I'll report my posts for urgent removal. You know my opinion though.

The bolded text and emoticon afterwards didn't make it clear enough?

I....can't believe someone is upset over obvious sarcasm in a news post.

    I really hate the Internet.
